daisybutter - UK Style Blog: week in photos, the ideal home show 2012, zara, rituals

Another shameless pose because it was so sunny and nice · Revising journalism law for my exam · Pesto chicken and green pepper pittas for dinner! · Reviewing beauty products for my magazine · Emily's pretty birthday card! · Roast chicken and veg for another dinner... I clearly don't get out much and enjoy food photos too much · The main road near my Uni house finally got repaved! · On set on Friday · Too many amazing baked goods at the Ideal Home Show on Friday · Sunset on the walk home · Cute faux showhouses at Ideal Home · Zara heels that I fell in love with on Friday · Bought another Rituals shower foam after falling in love with the one I got in my Glossybox (review) · Me w/ my topknot friend.

First things first, happy Mother's Day to you all and your lovely Mums! I'm so gutted that I'm not spending the day with mine, but a) I'm currently in bed with an awful fever and headache, and b) I have magazine templates to get on with today. Woe is me, eh? On the bright side, I did manage to pop in to London and see her on Friday though which was perrrfect. What are you all spoiling your Mums with today, if at all?

This week has been so crazy, long and exhausting. In between revision, completing Uni assignments and all the extras that come along, I haven't had much time to myself and it has really taken its toll. I've spent my weekend catching up with Mandy and feeling sorry for myself as I started to feel so ill on my walk home. Fingers crossed that some food, water and a nap will sort me out, although I do have a date with InDesign and the library this afternoon...

  5. Selin's Kindles post was brilliant, right?! I'm glad you've had such a great week, and I can't wait to see the Company feature! x

  6. Yes!! Selin's blog is one of my absolute favourites at the moment actually, really inspiring and great to read away from all things fashion~ and Uni related. Thank you Rachel, I'm really nervous to see it come out, I looked so different and not me at all in it! xx

  7. Oh bloody hell! Law for Journalists, I don't envy you that one. I did a journalism degree and that was definitely the most difficult bit, perhaps with the exception of shorthand! Hope you pass the exam! x

  8. Before I go any further, let me just take a moment to appreciate how amazingly divine those baked goods look! The colour of the Zara shoes are lovely and I wish you good luck for your exam - hope all the revision pays off :)

  9. Aww Michelle, I hope you feel better soon! Fever's are nasty things! That roast chicken and veg photo is literally making me drool at the mouth - it looks delicious! It so happens I used to go to the Ideal Home Show with my mum and sister every year for my sister's birthday but it's sadly a tradition we've grown out of. It looks wonderful though! xx

  11. It's so difficult to absorb, but most of it is easy, I'm so horrific at remembering things and exams are not my forte, let alone while I've been studying fashion and culture journalism/writing for three years :P Fish out of water! Thanks Suzanne xx
