Today was a very relaxed affair of lectures, seminars and gossiping with the girls. I can hardly believe that we're pretty much halfway through February, and halfway through NYFW! Standouts so far have been Band of Outsiders with their country, rustic, back-to-basics collection, my beloved Alexander Wang with a crisp cut collection and beautiful colours, Calla as seen on Style Bubble, and Jill Stuart, whose collection epitomises where my style seems to be headed with printed seperates, a 60's inspiration and an 'easy' tailored look. Excited to catch up properly with it all later!

Peach and rose gold blouse, New Look;
Chunky knit cardigan, Hollister;
Coat, Topshop;
Socks, H&M;
Boots, ASOS;
Necklace, Swarovski;
Bag, c/o Romwe.)
Photos by Aisling at Fash-Ling. She's lovely and I stalked her a little all day.

I wore this at the weekend to TOWIB, nothing new really, just lots of textured layers and my pretty bag! I love the sheer shirt against pleats and velvet, bundled up with the knit that I still can't get enough of. I've come to the realisation that this knit has probably had its' day now though; it's covered with bobbles galore! My Romwe bag served its' purpose well to hold about a hundred things all day as well, it's perfectly worn in now, not plasticky and stiff like when I first wore it. I think this outfit was a result of a) it looking far too cold outside on Saturday morning and needed to wear all of my clothes, and b) wanting to wear all of my favourites. What can I say?! I'm a creature of habit!

Saturday was a lovely day out: while TOWIB as an event itself wasn't what I expected, I came away having met lots of bloggers that I'd spoken to over Twitter, and some that I hadn't come across before, I ate lots of good food and mourned the loss of Kim's cake topping, and Aisling, Katy, Leanne, Sarah and I even went to the BAFTAs. Well, the setting up of. It was nice to see Abby, Faye, Lucy, Elle and Cigdem again, and meet Erin and Aysh. As Lucy said yesterday, we need some sort of bloggers' penthouse so we can all chat about similar interests, and help out with outfit posts and the like!

Been working (very slowly, let me add!) on my new layout lately, it's coming together quite well and I can't wait to put it up! This one feels like it's lacking something! I'm also considering changing up my Week in Photos posts on Sunday too; I've been posting them for over a year, and I might integrate day-to-day photos in my other posts instead, and post others via Twitter. We shall see!

  40. It was lovely to see you at TOWIB, if only for a minute or so. I totally agree, it wasn't what I had expected, but because I got to catch up with friends over tea and cupcakes, I don't mind it so much.

    Can't wait to see the new layout!
