I was lucky enough to be invited to the Bora Aksu AW12 catwalk show on Friday. Bora Aksu is one of the designers and fashion houses that I focused my Buying and Forecasting project on last semester. Set to a haunting, ethereal, carousel/fairground soundtrack, the show was absolutely stunning, with a collection full of my favourite muted purple-grey colour with pops of vibrant tangerine - and according to Pantone, 'Pink Flambe' and 'Rose Smoke' - along with beautifully patterned, damask-inspired tights and damask-inspired prints on chiffon.

Above are some of my personal favourites from the collection, and some pretty sub-standard blogger-in-the-standing-ranks shots. Currently coveting? Patterned tights, oversized bow ties, muted titanium blazers and black suede lace-up booties. I also want a longline blazer and hooded faux fur coat on a completely unrelated note, but while we're on the topic and all! Which are your favourite looks from the Bora Aksu AW12 collection? Big thank you to Pippa and Jamie for my invite too!

You can read my other London Fashion Week AW12 posts here, here and here. Enjoy!

i love those shades, looks like a great show Michelle. I went to Lako Bukia last night which was the complete opposite to this - think intergalactic space-age, heavily defined brows and silver...everywhere.

  3. I loved all the "dip dye" type dresses, if only they were affordable! The embroidered headpieces were really cool too. We'll be front row next year, no doubt about it. xx

  5. It was honestly beautiful (: was great to see one of my favourite fashion houses "in action". Lako Bukia sounds so nice, bit of a transitional trend from SS12! xx

  8. Oh my I am IN LOVE with the orange tulle dress and the headdresses! (Although I couldn't wear one walking down the street, I would look like a creamsicle with a feather on). That looks like such an amazing time, lovely photos :) X

  9. I love the colour pallet here! I am a sucker for that cool lilacy grey colour which I think is stunning with the pale blush pink. The tights are awesome, I must find a way to incorporate them into my wardrobe soon. I think I would be in heaven at LFW but I'd stick out like a sore thumb in my boring outfits. I always crave fabulous clothes when I see posts like this.
