daisybutter - UK Style Blog: kiehl's, skincare, beauty review
While hanging around in London in between an interview and meeting Emma and Lily last week, I somehow ended up in House of Fraser, and consequently bought a bag of skincare goodies to treat myself. Any 'long-time' reader of my blog, and people who know me in general, will know just how much of a skincare junkie I am; well, I'm in the last dregs of both my Lancome and Laneige cleansers, and my friend Sharon finally persuaded me to try Kiehl's!

Seven or eight years ago (yup, I started early with this skincare craze), I wouldn't have given a brand like Kiehl's a second glance. The packaging is clinical looking and when faced with the prospect of choosing between this and something by the likes of Lancome or Clinique, I would opt for the latter on all occasions. I spent a good half hour or more with the sales assistant in the Westfield White City HoF before settling on this cleanser, an argan body lotion and a dermabrasion exfoliator.

I've been using this for exactly a week now, in the morning and evenings, sometimes switching it up so the last of my Lancome doesn't get forgotten about completely! I typically use my trusty Boots Botanics eye make-up remover first, and then work this cleansing milk into my face with my fingers in circular motions. As a 'milk' formula, this is lovely and moisturising, as well as being surprisingly great at removing everything on my face! I rinse off with warm water in the evening, and cold in the morning, and follow up with any toner that I see first in my collection, and my moisturiser.

I've been slacking with my Ways to Wears again lately. I had planned to put one together today but I've been seriously productive on the dissertation and University work front instead, so will follow up with something LFW-inspired next week instead. Sound good?! Tomorrow I'm at Uni until 1pm, before popping for an early meal with my housemates for one of their 21st birthdays, and then we're spending the night at a hotel, spa/sauna and everything, which is exciting! Then we're rushing back home so I can sort my affairs out, hop on a train and see what LFW has to offer this season. Feeling a little overwhelmed at the thought of having to be super prepared and on time, but I'm excited all the same!

  4. That's exactly why I opted for this! My skin was starting to really tingle from the cold, and dry out from walking outdoors for long periods of time. I'd definitely recommend this, my skin hasn't felt so soft in a long time! xx

  5. I'd really recommend this! I'll probably review the other products once I've given them some good use, the other products are more intensive so I'm only using them once or twice a week atm (:

  9. I like it so far! It's such an intensive treatment that I've been advised to use it once a week, so think I'll leave it a while to review properly, I don't think one use is enough to go by (: I have a sample of Creme de Corps, so lovely and rich! xx
