I wonder how long it'll take for the 'my first XYZ in 2012' comments to wear off, I've spent most of my day making similar remarks with my family at my baby cousin's Full Month celebrations at a restaurant. This is my outfit post of 2012, I didn't wear anything interesting yesterday on account of being sleep-deprived and being in a zombie-esque trance for the few hours that my eyes did stay open!

('Paris' map print cropped tee, Urban Outfitters;
Velvet and tulle dress - Worn as skirt, H&M;
Super cosy tights, Primark;
Suedette slipper shoes, New Look;
Cardigan, Unnamed via Hong Kong;
Faux leather belt, Haberdashery;
Bracelet, c/o Happytoasts Jewellery;
Alexa bag, Mulberry.)

Not quite sure where most of my clothes are, having reached the final week of my Christmas break at home. I think that's a sign that I need to a) do some laundry, or b) have a wardrobe clearout. I popped a t-shirt over the top and belted it at the front to keep it casual for the daytime, and then wore my new favourite cardigan for the warmth, because it is super cold today! It's so easy to get more outfits out of the same pieces of clothing by layering things up and swapping out a shirt. Family functions are always a weird one to dress for, and even more so in the daytime. Either way, it was so nice to have everyone together, and to see my cousin dressed as a baby Batman!

Last night I was in bed and asleep by 1am, which sets off my 2012 goals pretty well! I'm still seriously tired though, I think I'm just a night owl, because the daytime doesn't appeal to me at all, I'd much rather have a few hours sleep in the daytime and add it on to my 1am 'bedtime'. By way of my other goals, I've also taken a photo-a-day so far, and can't decide whether to change my Sunday post into a seven-photos type post - blogging has well and truly taken over my everyday decisions! I want to start including more daily photos in these outfit posts too, so it's definitely time to evaluate my Week in Photos structure.

Finally, I can't believe I'm already due to go back to Southampton in a week! For some reason, I can barely remember what my day-to-day life in Southampton felt like, but I'm sure I'll be fine once I'm back. So much hassle with term start dates, the masterclasses for our faculty from the 9th, and having to be back home to take my sister to see One Direction (secret squee!) on the 11th!

Ooh I'm going to have to join you on that, really need to sort through my clothes when I'm done with Uni, my clothes are split between two places atm! xx

  30. I really like the lace detailing on your cardie, it looks so pretty and feminine. I've been going to bed late too, around 11-12ish when ususally when I'm back at uni I hit the hay at about 9 sometimes due to being up all day! Glad your goals are coming together though, and I really like the sound of a photo a day being rounded up in a weekly post - sound very interesting and I bet it'll look it too!

  32. I wish I looked that cute on the 1st. Unfortunately I was on the tube, in last night's clothes at 4pm. Don't get me wrong, I was only sleeping over at my friends' but still... Not quite so classy. Also already failed three of my goals by New Years Day. 2012 is going to be interesting, me thinks!
