The Rituals range of bath and shower products is always something I look at and put on my 'things I wish I could buy' list. Their products look and smell incredible, and for some reason, I'd always classed them as something completely out of my price range. I received their Hammam Delight Foaming Shower Gel in December's Glossybox, and all other shower product options have (quite literally!) blown out of the water by it.

Firstly, the packaging is sleek, weighty and indulgent: I love the brown and light aqua colours of this bottle, and it suits the product and scent inside perfectly, as well as serving well to look pretty amongst the hoards of products that are housed in my bathroom. If I'm being completely honest, Fresh Eucalyptus and Rosemary wouldn't have been my go-to scent for this product. After seeing other bloggers' unboxing posts about their December Box, I wanted the Rice Milk and Cherry Blossom, or Indian Rose and Sweet Almond Oil one, but nevertheless, I hopped in the shower armed with my fancy new product and... I absolutely love my Rituals shower gel.

The scent is fresh, clean and woody, with a hint of something fruity or leafy. I'd describe it as a sophisticated scent, although I do use this daily, it'd probably fall under the category of products-to-use-before-going-out. I'm sure we all have that category in our bank of products! The gel consistency is thick and creamy, and foams really, really well. The smallest amount of product goes a really long way, making this product an excellent investment. I find it moisturising enough to go without extra lotions and potions afterwards, and the scent is longlasting too.

Rituals' foaming shower gels retail at £6.50 for 200ml (the large bottle), which is much cheaper than I'd expected, and I'm probably going to treat myself to another next week. In hindsight, I'm so pleased I got this in my Glossybox: I'd never tried Rituals on the basis that I didn't want to ask after the price, and have to politely decline a purchase if the price was more than £10 haha! You can purchase Rituals products online or at John Lewis and House of Fraser.

Did you get a Glossybox last month? What did you think of your Rituals product?

  4. I always find it weird that they mix up the products between boxes :/ Would've preferred something other than spot fix in my box as I haven't had a spot since I was about 13 haha. xxxx

  5. I'd totally recommend investing in one! They foam/lather up so well, my bottle is about halfway used if that, and I've had it for about six weeks now (: I only receive Glossybox but really like the service, depends whether you're building your collection up and looking for HG products or not really sweet, I've found some gems in my box that I repurchase often! xx

  7. I really loved how it foamed, but it sounds like you got a much nicer scent than I did - maybe I should give this one a go!

  8. It's such soft foam as well, without sounding weird or creepy! I'd definitely recommend this one, sounded awful to me at first but I love how sophisticated it smells (: Which one did you get?

I love my one...minus the horror when I initially sprayed it and it sprayed across my bathroom and proceeded to foam over my wall...still a huge fan though!

  13. It comes across as quite a 'posh' brand, so I've always been too scared to have a proper look in-store, but now I feel a little more savvy and brave enough to buy more haha (: I'd totally recommend! xx

  15. I got the Indian Rose one in my Glossybox and it smells absolutely divine! Yours sounds lovely too. I agree about it foaming really well, you only need the tiniest bit of product! I'm definately going to be purchasing Rituals products, i think although it's £6.50 for a bottle, considering how little you need to use it would last a long time and therefore be quite a reasonable investment!

  17. I too am loving my Rituals shower gel, this is the first time I've seen someone with a scent other than Indian Rose!
The creaminess of this stuff is A-mazing!
I was reading the comments on this blog and I'm glad I'm not the only one that squirted it (twice, may I add) right across the room, the first one hitting the xmas tree, giving it a lovely snowy effect, and the 2nd time hitting the opposite wall in the bathroom.. nightmare! Powerful pump, what can I say? haha

  19. I think I'm going to try that one next, going to have a look in John Lewis during the week (: It's definitely worth the £6.50, the tiniest amount goes a long, long way, and I'd rather splurge and use a quality product on my skin to be honest, haha! xx

  20. Haha, my thoughts exactly ;) I'll just skimp on the bigger meals during the week and shower well instead! A blogger's gotta do what a blogger's gotta do ;) xx

  21. I haven't seen any other reviews of this one yet :P I think I'll be trying the Indian Rose one next. Hahaha, I know what you mean, it comes out so quickly! So many amusing stories in the comments! xx

  22. I really wanted to try the rose version but I was impressed by this one! Cheaper than the "norm" of what you get in glossybox so I don't have to worry about not falling in love with it. x hivennn

  24. I got the T'ai Chi version in my glossybox, and it is my most favourite shower gel ever! It feels so divine. I was really worried I wouldn't be able to find it in store anywhere, but I went to John Lewis in Southampton last week and they have a whole stand so spent ages deciding which next scent to get next - but I can't decide as they ALL smell so delicious. Addicted!

  25. I always feel like I'm missing out whenever I read about a product that's come out of Glossybox/beauty boxes! That does look super indulgent, I love the sounds of eucalyptus! Or maybe that's just the koala in me.

  30. Aw that one sounds lovely too, I'm going to have a 'proper' look in John Lewis (Southampton one, too!) next week and see which takes my fancy. I love the sound of the almond oil one though :P

  31. Haha ;) I think that's a hidden beauty in beauty boxes (excuse the terrible pun!) though, that bloggers will have reviewed everything for you, so there's almost no need to fork out the extra amount each month! I've found a whole host of amazing products through the service (: I think you'd love this one, Michelle! xx

  32. It's seriously lovely, a really unique but sophisticated scent (:

  33. It's quite unusual, but in a good way, I don't think I'll go back to my usual 'drugstore' shower products for a while! xx

  34. These are brilliant, arent they? I really like mine, I got the rose and sweet almond. The rice milk and cherry blossom sounds nice, they're such a good price that I might try them all! xxx

    ReplyDelete
  35. I haven't actually used mine yet as I rarely take a shower! I got whichever scent the red one is. I wasn't overly excited by the packaging or receiving a shower gel but I'm definitely going to try it now! :) x
