all that glitters

Well, I'm back in ye olde Southampton, masquerading as the fifth member of Little Mix and filling my days with creature comforts, such as pretty new books, all manner of magazines - I bought FIVE over the weekend, can someone please stop this fash journo student? She's outta control(!) - and a couple of Gossip Girl DVD boxsets in preparation for the return of season five amidst its badly-timed Winter hiatus. Can a Winter hiatus... be badly-timed? I'll save that fascinating debate for another time, perhaps after we've discovered the Bass' fate.

I can't get enough of my Beau glitter bow at the moment. As a thank you for designing her blog header a few months ago, Georgie kindly sent me a bow from her Etsy shop, as seen on Perrie from Little Mix in the X Factor final. I'm very much a less is more, minimal effort type of girl when it comes to hair: a clip-in bow is perfect for me, easy to adjust and tweak if you need, and it adds just enough drama and statement to an everyday look, although I'm sure this'll make another appearance soon with some tousled waves by night! Georgie stocks these in a whopping 17 colours, so there is something for everyone, I adore my grey one but the chocolate brown one is sweet too. Even better, Beau XOXO are offering a 15% discount with all orders using the code 'DAISYBUTTER', happy shopping!

In other news today, I finished an entire bottle of hair conditioner (stop the press, this is breaking news!) and ventured out from my cosy room to repurchase my Dove Nourishing Oil Care with much excitement. I'm currently in the market for a relatively affordable hair oil after finishing my Macadamia Oil and failing to find a UK seller too, so send your recommendations to me in the comments! Oh! And I may have made some progress on my internship search too, but watch this space...! ♥

  4. aww that bow is really cute! nail polish colours are flawless too, now when is southampton going to stock look beauty so i can add to my ridiculous collection of makeup and nail polishes?

    massive well done on finishing conditioner, always find it hard to get through a bottle before ive bought something else more exciting haha! dove nourishing oil care is a gift from the gods, never fails to make my hair kardashian worthy xxx

    By the way, did I ever mention how much I like your confidence with glasses? I recently got a new pair and always feel a little less stylish wearing them, but you've really shown me how you can wear glasses and still look super cute!

    I never finish conditioner either, the shampoo always goes so much quicker! As for hair oil I recently bought the Vo5 Miracle Concentrate Elixir and my hair is unbelievably soft, love it.

  9. I absolutely adore that hair bow, and everything sparkly!

    And the magazine shopping, do you keep them though? I have about £600 worth of fashion magazines in my study at my parents house I've been hoarding as I never throw them away since I was about 12! I use the excuse that I do freelance work as an editorial consultant - I need to be able to look back at the back catalogues!

    And I know, the hiatus is driving me crazy - Chuck and Blair must live! (Though I'm not entirely sure if I want Blair to be with Chuck or Dan yet..!)

    I hated wearing mine when I was prescribed them (around age 15) and only wore them in class when I absolutely had to, despite needing to wear them at all times, but gained confidence when I was about 17 (: I'm not in the least concerned about the geek label, heck I'm a geek through and through! Plus mine are Chanel, which makes them all the more nicer to wear! Thanks for your lovely words though! xx

    Yup, I keep all of mine for reference, or so I use as my excuse ;) I'm studying fashion freelancing and a magazine design/production module this semester so I have most of my collection with me. I just love the feel of a chunky glossy magazine haha!

    I love her with Chuck, but wanted to see a proper Dair pairing ): Sadly I don't think they'll use it as a proper storyline anymore! xx

Which is heartbreaking, because I have been likened to Blair so many times (though, at some points I'm not sure if I should have taken it as a compliment, she can be a total bitch sometimes!) and I really, really want to find myself a hot literary guy who has an awesome family for myself (though I'll pass on the crazy sister who wears too much eyeliner!)
