It's the penultimate week of the year! And what better way to see off the year than under a duvet, watching film after film while Tumblr-ing away to my heart's content? I kid of course, today has been a Christmas prep day here at our house, and tonight shall be a dissertation reading evening.

Am I the only one who feels the need to look like Christmas around Christmas-time?! Well, that's how I feel today in a cream knit, handily borrowed from my sister, wine red velvet shorts and knitted tights. It's a little 'much' for patterns and textures to some people, but y'know, whatever goes at this time of year! I also wore my sister's coat for these photos, hers is exactly the same as mine, only in another colour. Also had to wear my Felix Felicis necklace and more OTT glitter nails, while I wrap presents and plan tomorrow's present-buying. My house is a mini elf studio at the moment with ribbons and gift tags aplenty!

Going to London with my brother and sister tomorrow to finish off our Christmas shopping. I know, I know, we must be absolutely mad or have a death wish to be braving the shops in the lead up to Christmas...! It should be a nice day though, I have a few more bits to pick up, and I seriously need a Wagamama's before I have to go back to Uni. I guess this is the part where everyone tells me how organised they've been with the Great Present Shop? Be back on Wednesday with a belated Week in Photos!

PS. Nominations for the Marie Claire Blog Awards are open until 31st December. If you nominate, I'll bake you a virtual cupcake with rainbows and smiles (and everyone could just be happy).

PPS. Thanks to my sister Louise for helping with the photos and for the clothes.

  12. Loving this outfit combination. I always feel like I need to look like Christmas around this time of the year with red and green touches everywhere - especially those tacky holiday sweaters. Textured tights are very pretty, too. I love the nail color too, I need to pick up a good gray shade.

  15. Thank you so much Monica! It was between wine red and olive green today for colour choice hahaha ;) My brother is in a Fairisle jumper, and my sister in a wine red cardi, God knows what we're playing at. I'd totally recommend the Look Beauty grey nail varnish, or Models Own Misty Grey (:

  42. Such a cute outfit. i love the tights, have been looking for a pair of black ones, but with no pattern. I used to wear wooly tights in primary school and they used to keep me much warmer than opaque ones! I think maybe they were thermal! wow, i sound so cool right now... been searching for thermal tights for ages(!). Thank you for your comment, Michelle, as always. You are so super nice. Just want to wish you a merry christmas and to thank you for being so nice and so supportive this year. Lots of love x
