daisybutter - UK Style Blog: week in photos, photo diary, bella italia, meet up

Made Japanese Gyoza dumplings for lunch · My housemate treated us to chocolate penguins as a mid-week pick-me-up! · Made my paper bunting, I probably won't post a tutorial, it's just a case of finding a template online, cutting around, and sticking into place with some string! · Nail varnishes of choice (: · Bought my Taylor Swift Speak Now Live DVD and CD · A coffee and my bag in a Fashion Analytics seminar on Tuesday · Advent calendar! · I ordered Fritto Misto at Bella Italia at our #southbloggersmeet yesterday, and decided I should probably become a food blogger... · My outfit at the meet · Southampton's German Christmas Market.

I've spent one too many hours cooped in my bedroom, at my desk this week, and my photos to document it definitely prove it! Planning to do the same next week, because dissertation proposals are due on Friday, and I'm so close to completing mine, and at a standard I actually like. More glitter, more food and more secret indulgences, and then I'll be back home for a few weeks before doing it all again. Best of luck to everyone else who is in the same boat as me at the moment, I can't say the end of semester is fun. At all.

The South Bloggers' Meet that I organised took place yesterday! It was a really nice day, full of gossip, laughs and photo taking. It's always quite surreal and strange to meet people from a blog, but then again, it's nice to be able to witter on about Twitter, the many downfalls of Blogspot and other bits and bobs that no-one else quite "gets". Hoping to plan another one next year, but we shall see!

I've had such an unintentionally lazy Sunday today... even by my standards! Lounged around in my duvet den/bed for a good four hours after waking up, and even as it reaches 3pm, all I've done is make my bed (+10 points, surely?) and eat breakfast (aaand -10 points again). Anyone up to anything interesting today? And who do we think is leaving X Factor tonight? My bet is on Misha B!

no one does a week in photos quite like you! You are definitely the queen of these posts. You definitely deserve some r&r after all this work mish! I hope I'm as good as you for working in my third year (seems ages away!). That chocolate penguin makes me far too hungry so I will leave before I start licking the screen of my laptop....

  4. i love your "week in photos" posts! i started a photo album project on my blog but i'm not a huge fan of my camera, and i don't have time to post photos everyday, so this seems like a perfect solution for when i get a better camera! x

  10. Looks like you had a lovely week! It has got really chilly, I hate the walk from the car to my uni building especially because then our building is so hot it's like stepping from Iceland to Greece at the height of summer:P Sounds like you had a fab time yesterday, so gutted I couldn't come!! :(

  11. I love seeing your weekly photos. There's nothing wrong with staying in your room when the days are so wintery and dreadful. Also, I'm in the same boat sort of, I have assignments new but no dissertations quite yet, thankfully. To say you've nearly completed yours, you must be doing quite well. I've heard that those things can be like 10,000 words long :o

It's so great that you met up with some bloggers! I would love to do something like that but don't consider myself a top blogger, but it would be interesting to discuss blogspot/technological issues that others dont 'get' - like you said.

Good look with tying ends for the semester, if your dissertation's as well put together as your blog you'll be absolutely fine!

  18. Yes you do Zozo ;) And yup! You can buy gyoza dumpling pastry in Chinese supermarkets, and the filling is just finely chopped chicken/minced pork, spring onion, coriander and some salt/pepper/crushed garlic to season. Wrap up, fry for two mins, steam for 4, and fry for another min, and you'll have a happy Del (: xxxx

  24. Thank you! Gosh, I have four assignments as well as my dissertation to be getting on with! My diss is a 10,000 jobby... They're not specifically for top bloggers or anything, just a casual meet up for coffee, gossip and shopping. It was so much fun though! xx
