Currently in disbelief at the fact that I've just consumed a Nando's lunch, while still in a food coma from our Boxing Day festivities. Such is life! I made an executive decision not to sales shop this year, because my wardrobe situation is quite frankly embarrassing and ridiculous.

(Faux corduroy and lace cardigan, Unnamed via Hong Kong;
Heart print playsuit, Topshop;
Boots, ASOS;
Alexa satchel bag, Mulberry;
Hand illustrated Fifi Lapin necklace, c/o Jewellery by Jaymie;
Coat, Topshop.)
a·droit (adj.) dexterous; skillful and adept under pressing conditions.
Wore my ever faithful heart print playsuit today. I still love this piece and have had it for a good two years now! It looks somewhat different with this faux corduroy cardigan over the top. The cardigan was one of my Christmas presents from my Mama, and she picked it up when in Hong Kong a few weeks back. Also paired it all with my ASOS Aggie boots, a must-have with its' little heel, to make me look more glam than I feel after being holed up with too much food for company as of late. I absolutely love this illustrated necklace from Jaymie's shop too, I fell in love with it almost immediately, and the original Fifi Lapin blog was one of the first that I started following back in 2008! I even spied a Fifi Lapin coffee flask in Chinatown last week, which I keep meaning to go back and buy.

I'm still without New Year's plans again. Was going to go to an event in London with one of my best friends, but I always think these events are far too overpriced, and I'd rather spend my money on a Mulberry Tillie purse. (Which I'm yet to buy because of online banking issues!) I might go and attempt the fireworks on the Thames, or be one of those cheesetastic ice-skaters at Somerset House for 'when the ball drops'. We shall see! What are your plans for NYE?

Finally, nominations for Marie Claire's blog awards close on the 31st, so if you haven't already, pop over there to nominate your favourite fashion/beauty/celebrity bloggers!

  7. I haven't been sales shopping on the basis that if you're not there before 12, you're wasting energy & effort. And for some reason I haven't been able to get up before 10 so ha not gonna happen.

  11. I tried again today to no avail ): At this rate I won't even be able to pay my rent hahaha! Oh gosh really? I never really do much for NYE, I've been ill for the past four New Year's haha. Aggie boots are sehr comfy after the first wear, definitely worth that bargainous £45 (: xxxx

  21. I am so into Nando's right now too! I don't know what it is. I love your Fifi Lapin Necklace, it's so cute and I've never seen anything like that before :). Although I love gem stone necklace, I think it's nice to see something different! As for New Year's Eve, how about just having a night in, then you can buy the purse :D

  22. I wish I had your restraint. My wardrobe is ready to burst, and I've still already hit the sales. The shame.
    You look super cute here, I love the playsuit. I can never find one to suit me, is there a trick to a good playsuit?

  26. I've not gone down to the sales yet, I'm the same, my wardrobe's full to bursting with dresses and shirts that seemed a good idea at the time, but don't go with anything. Have nominated you for the Marie Claire awards- do hope you win! X

  27. Such a lovely playsuit. I'm sure I have the navy version of that and haven't worn it for quite some time! It came a bit short on me though but I found it really good for layering with skirts. I've seen those boots on ASOS and they melt my heart! Beautiful boots.

  29. Maybe it's just me but the sales aren't even worth it this year! Far too busy for not even amazing stuff and it's so much easier to have a browse online! Hope you had a good Christmas and have a good New Year, Michelle :)

  30. So good and addictive! Thank you Philippa (: That sounds like the perfect plan, I'm far too lazy to venture out too far to be honest, and I seriously want the purse! xxx

    ReplyDelete
  31. Haha I think it's laziness first and foremost ;) Thanks Georgina! I'm not sure really, I just think some people suit more tailored playsuits and others suit jersey pieces, hope that helps! xx

  32. Thanks Sonia! Eeep, it's my pride and glory haha, my parents gifted it to me for my 20th birthday :D xx

  38. I still adore those aggie boots, I wear my similar ones all the time. The cardi is beautiful, love the lace detailing. Me and Dey are going to an F word awarded restaurant, so excited to go back. I've never been one to spend loads of money going out and spending it on over priced taxi's. Oh how I would love a piece of Mulberry. xxxx

  39. I'm trying to avoid the sales too, but I know I'll give in to temptation! Really love the print on your dress by the way xx

  44. Michelle, your legs go on forever in this photo! This is like a perfect Winter staple outfit, I love the grey coat, might have to get me one of those for this coming Winter :) I have that attitude towards most nights out, I could spend the money on clothes! But for some reason I still drag myself out, as I will this New Years. Hope you find some plans, and even if you don't just staying at home and watching Fireworks is still amazing! Grace xx

    ReplyDelete
  45. Awh thanks Grace! Can't decide what to do for New Year's, but I'm giving up alcohol next year so I guess start as I mean to go on is a good plan ;) xx

  47. Basically.. I.LOVE.THE.PLAYSUIT. How amazing and cuteeee is this! Eeek, I love it!
    Ha London NYE is way to expensive (I say this as though I've been in the UK for NYE these last 4 years!) We decided to have a huge fancy dress houseparty as it's wayyy cheaper.. THAT way it's more money on clothes! Totally go for the cheaper option Miiiiiiichelle, so you can buy more pretty things :-) xx

    I love the Aggie boots honey! Sometimes NYE is a little over rated, I prefer nights with loved ones doing something enjoyable; the fireworks sound good or ice skating :) I am far too laid back for a 21 year old woman haha
