Festive sandwiches strike again!

Just under two weeks until our little South Bloggers' Meet! I've been naughtily disorganised with the meet, so if you were planning on coming and haven't received an email from me please let me know so I can send them over to you, my email inbox is, quite frankly, a mess. Things are shaping up to be a lovely, mellow day and evening with lots of bloggers, food and chatter, and I can't wait to see everyone IRL!

Seriously can't believe how close it is to Christmas! I've been driving everyone mad with my festive cheer: the closer it is to Christmas, the closer it is to final year deadlines, and I'm definitely feeling the pressure. I'm possibly spending the afternoon with Alana to take some time out, and organise my blog though, can't wait to see her for some lolz and time away from dissertation reading, which seems to be never-ending.

- this week in five:
  • bee's diy post inspired me for my family's gifts this year
  • #CD950C
  • barthes, you are a killer
  • the arrival of the german christmas market in town
  • just under a month until i'm home for x'mas!

  1. Your curled hair looked great! And I didn't know churros kits even existed, might be a good option for me cause I've definitely been craving them.
I can't believe Christmas is coming up either; I haven't really felt the festive cheer for a couple of years, but that might change this year.

  20. Playing bowl is like a Catch-22 for me. I'm pretty ok at it, but I always look like an idiot when I try too hard to win, and then when I don't try, I look like I don't know how to do anything and then get upset when everybody else wins. Still, it's fun to watch others play! That Felix Felicis necklace looks AWESOME.

  40. GERMAN CHRISTMAS MARKETTTTT! I went to the Birmingham one - is there one in London? Or do you mean "town" as in your hometown?
Anyway, so excited for you and the South meet. Wish I had enough money to make it over there!

  41. Couldn't help but notice your beautiful nails in the first photograph - lovely! Your work looks far more organised than mine does at the moment, I have work scattered on my desk along with books on the floor.. it's a hazzard!

Glad your weekend has been good. I'm gonna go to the German Market this year hopefully, my friends always praise it so I may as well! x

  42. Oh my god churros kit! Where is that from?! I love churros but I tried making them once at home from scratch and it was a bit of a failure cos the oil was too hot so they just burnt and weren't cooked in the middle :(

    ReplyDelete
  43. From a little American sweet shop, full of imported goodies! They're quite hard to get right, even with a kit, pretty much a case of trial and error! (:

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thank you Katie! My desk, side table, bed and floor are currently covered with my work, final year is a killer and safety hazard fo'sho ;) I love the German X'mas Market, so much good food and little handmade goodies to try and buy! xx

  45. :D There's one in Southampton at the moment, and I do believe at home too! I seriously hope I find time to go to Winter Wonderland in London this year (: Thanks sweet, wish you were coming! xx

    ReplyDelete
  46. Well as Ling charmingly described, Churros are just a straight doughnut or pretzel, with cinnamon sugar ;) I'm sure they sell them around Christmas at markets and Winter Wonderland in London... Eeeeep, is that it?! I'm so excited, can't wait to have my family around me again. xx

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thanks Zoe! Churros are doughy, a bit like a straight donut haha! xx

    ReplyDelete
  48. Thanks sweet! Hahaha ;) The glasses should definitely be bigger, can't believe how much food a large Maccy's involves, as well as with the bonus student foodie item! I bought my Churros kit at one of those American sweet shops, SUCH a good buy! xx

    ReplyDelete
  49. Ooft, you do ;) I remember having them as a kid too! xx
