Went to London yesterday with my Uni for a day of exhibitions. It was a long day, full of laughs and so much unexpected chaos, but overall, I'm glad I pulled myself out of bed to go!

(Top, Ever Ours;
Skirt, Zara;
Leggings, H&M;
Ribbed socks, Tabio;
Boots, ASOS;
Bag, Mulberry;
Coat, Topshop;
Faux fur stole, H&M.)

I absolutely love this little collared shirt that I bought a week or two ago. I've worn it about four times already, and can't get enough of it. Wore it tucked into my forever faithful Zara skirt to London, with some socks peeping out from my ASOS boots, and felt perfectly cosy for a chilly November day. The pastel/minty colours are so perfect for this time of year, and make a lovely contrast to the warm, rusty colours that most people tend to opt for. Also, it was perfect to go traipsing around London in: dressing for both outdoors and the stuffy Underground typically makes me nervous. For all those who ask, too, the boots are just the right height for everyday!

I visited the V&A's Postmodernism: Style and Subversion exhibition in the morning. It wasn't my cup of tea (or coffee) overall, but there were some really interesting things to look at, and I enjoyed seeing the magazine design section. We then went over to the Tate Millbank for a talk with the editor of Tate Etc magazine. The highlight of my day, though, was the Dazed and Confused exhibition at Somerset House: a lovely look through the archives, inspiration and future of the magazine, with two focus rooms, one of which was directed by Alexander McQueen before his untimely death. We also got a focus session with Rob Montgomery, one of the publishing team members, which was so insightful to the industry!

Finally, just thought I'd mention my new comment system on the blog! A few people have already noticed and willingly signed up/in to comment, so huge thanks if you are one of those! Basically, Disqus lets me reply directly to comments and questions that I get on here, and sends you a notification to let you know if I have. Perfecto. Anyway, I'm off to work on some Uni blog work now. Catch you over there for some more clothes-related chatter? ♥

I'm glad you had fun in London, I've only been twice and the last time was also to go to an art gallery! But I went to the National Gallery and the Tate Modern, I did see the V&A advertised though :P xxx

  16. Unexpected chaos my dear is the whole allure of London; or at least in my books it is - I love the times I spontanteously visit & find random adventures, frivolity & unexpected memories crop up here & there all over the place. Plus the galleries, the coffee always readily available, the fashion, the shopping?! Love that place. x
