Somehow managed to reach 2100 readers over the weekend...! Thank you to everyone who reads and takes two minutes to comment on my little blog, I love catching up on, and replying to, your comments. I'm very much feelin' the blog love! It's a little frustrating that "outfit posts" have become few and far between as of late too, I just can't seem to find the spare time to shoot photos, edit and all that jazz recently.

Wore this outfit over the weekend and thought I'd finally share the full length and proper photographs of it on the blog at last. You may remember it from a snippets/details post that I wrote a few weeks ago when I was at home! Much as I cringe at the thought of my reckless-student spending, I love my velvet shorts, definitely one of my favourite pieces at the moment. I usually wear it with an oversized knit or a simple printed Tee, for fear of feeling too overdressed while the student population of Southampton slums it in hoodies and leggings.

Had my first Starbucks red cup today, which was supposed to motivate me to bosh out my dissertation proposal, but it motivated my housemate and I more to go and buy an array of Iceland food for a makeshift tapas dinner tonight. I'm very inspired to sort out the layout of my blog at the moment though, and I might spend my evening coding, if I get "Adorned in Dreams" re-read, critiqued and have made some constructive notes on it. I've finally got into the swing of my dissertation, and I'm really determined to make it a piece of work that I'm proud of once I've handed in and graduated.

Anyway, back to my Uni work now, so excited by the promise of tapas tonight! Thank you Alana for helping with the photos!

Your shorts look so cute, nice little winter festive touch :) I always fear that if i wear some of the things in my wardrobe to a lecture that i'll look far too over dressed for a student. probably best to leave some things for days off! 44. Thank you! The coat had a cute little hood with a faux fur trim, and pom poms as well, but the buttons don't fit the coat properly, blimmin' High Street! Oh that's a shame ): They'd be lovely in a cord or tweed material too though! Thanks Hayley! <3

  48. Thank you! I just really love fashion (: My course doesn't really cover much fashion though, it's mainly writing, industry practice and cultural theory at the moment. I've just sketched a final draft (I think...), excited to code it and whack it up. Thanks Jess, hope you're feeling chirpier sweet! xx

Wow I never knew there was a word for the stars you see when you rub your eyes. I used to rub my eyes on purpose all the time when I was a kid just so I could see them lol. You learn something new every day!

We're having tapas for tea tonight as well! Hope yours was amazing :)

Those velvet shorts are really really cute. I made a pair a couple (ok 5) years ago, but they don't fit me any more, much to my dismay.

Don't work to hard, and enjoy being a reckless student, whilst you still can!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Aw thanks Chloe! You made a pair?! That sounds amazing (: Luckily these are stretchy and kind of viscosey in the lining, so I can afford to eat an extra few bites at dinner! xx

  59. Thank you so much Rani! Bought it a year or two ago and revived it with a faux fur stole! (:
