Another good month for beauty in my cove of goodies! Immersing myself in the blogosphere is never good for my bank balance, did you know that beauty blogs were what got me "into" the blogging game? There's a little-known fact for you! I'm pretty awful at reviews though, a "good" or "not good" is usually all you'll get from me unless I've meticulously used a product to within an inch of its' death. Having said that, these are the products that I've been religiously relying upon recently:

Topshop's Cream Blush in Head Over Heels
A little late on the bandwagon with this blush in particular, but I thought I'd share it anyway, for those of my readers who are yet to dabble in Topshop Beauty. I'm always reading about this blush as the "perfect Summer colour", but I've been wearing it almost everyday for about two months now. (More on that later!) I loves it. I apply it with my fingers, dot very sparingly on my cheeks and blend away for a doll-like peachy pink. It really suits my light olive skintone and overall pale complexion, bringing a hint of warmth to my face. A must-buy and new make-up bag staple for me!

Models Own Misty Grey, Champagne, Barry M Silver Glitter and Rimmel Disco Ball
This is what I'm wearing on my nails at the moment. Decided to opt for a sleeker and more polished home manicure this weekend, after a week or two of Dalmatian nail art! And I say sleek, but added some sparkles just for the festivity! Misty Grey is the most beautiful grey I own (I have five, don't ask me why...), and it looks blue in some lights. The closest thing I have to Eyeko's Rain, which I've sadly finished!

Look Beauty Goodie Bag
I was invited along to the Look Beauty launch last week, but couldn't really afford to take the time away from Uni commitments. The lovely Zoe had already prepared a goodie bag for me though, and sent me the selection of handpicked products. On first glance, I wasn't a huge fan of the packaging: I'm not a lover of the clear plastic stuff, and I'm always terrified of cracking it! Moving aside from that, some of the products feature a gorgeous Ashley Isham custom pattern. +10 points!

I love the blush in Pinch - Shade 3. I'd literally just been complaining about my lack of the perfect pink blush, and then one showed up in my bag. It is very pigmented, with the slight shot of glitter/shimmer, meaning you need to really tap off the excess before application, but I do adore the shade. Perfect pink fresh-from-the-snow cheeks for the Winter!

My other favourites are the lipstick in Toffee Cup (smells great, looks great, applies like a dream, perfectly between matte and glossy), and my baked eyeshadow trio. The eyeshadows are really worth a mention, they're an amazing alternative to the UD Naked palette, which I also have, because the colours are finely milled and blend much better than UD shadows, in my opinion. I've been reaching for this over my usual Sidecar and Toasted combination this week!

Dermalogica via Glossybox October 2011
I'm at the very end of my Dermalogica masque now. Sobsob. I've popped it on my list of things-I-could-potentially-treat-myself-to, and love how baby soft my skin feels after using it. I hadn't explored the world of facemasks aside from Lush masks, but now I genuinely feel like I don't need to. Absolute perfection, try and get your mitts on this if you can part with your pennies!
Disclaimer: I am lucky enough to have received some of these products at press events and as samples, this does not affect my opinion, and I'll always be honest about products I use. All items except the Look Beauty goodie bag were purchased with my own money, while the Dermalogica masque came in my October Glossybox.

  3. The dermalogica mask sounds like a good purchase. I have managed to avoid any beauty box subscriptions so far as I have enough products to use up, however glossybox does seem to have been good this month.

  15. The Dermalogica masque looks quite good, actually! The Topshop blush colour looks lovely but I do find it quite hard to find blush that actually matches my skin tone.

  18. This thread has great information on shopping. A friend of mine told me about this cool app that allows you to get instant feedback from your Facebook friends on whether you should buy something or not (for themselves or as a gift). Here's the link - I think the app is coming out around Black Friday but you can sign up now:
