(Metallic shot fisherman knit jumper, c/o Boohoo;
Jersey olive green shorts, Forever 21;
Super cosy tights, Primark;
"Aggie" suede boots, ASOS;
Faux leather rope belt, A boutique in Hong Kong;
Bracelet, Dolly Bow Bow.)
I decided to pair these very similarly toned pieces together completely on a whim, and quite like the put-together, Olivia Palermo inspired look. I think olive green and khaki tones are beautifully subtle and are perfect as a revival to classic pieces. It's still quite mild too, weather-wise, so a knit and shorts are a great way to stay comfortable as well as rework typically Summer pieces. Deciding to choose this jumper to spend my Boohoo voucher on over the Summer was possibly one of the best decisions I've ever made, I probably wear it at least once a week, laundry timing permitted! Also, just a few words about my extra belt: buying a metre or two of cheap rope/trimming at a haberdashery can really bring an outfit 'to life', think Gok but not as tacky.
Tonight I'll be begrudgingly buying a new phone. My faithful Blackberry has finally been laid to rest, and after four years and three Blackberrys, it is very much time to broaden my horizons and get a phone that works haha! So excited for that! I also sorted out my list of Christmas presents to buy for my family last night (or the night before, I have a terrible short-term memory!) so I feel back on track and suitably festive.
Anyway, I hope everyone is well and dandy! I'm off to rustle up some fine student cuisine for dinner, and peruse glitter nail varnishes online. Perfect. ♥

This jumper is DIVINE! I love how you have paired it with similar tones too :)

Love the sequins in your jumper; the olive shades are just perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove your dalmatian nails! That jumper is gorgeous! x
ReplyDeleteGreen is my favourite so I love this combination :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have less trouble with your new phone than you've had with the Blackberrys!
I definitely need a few more glitter polishes in my life x
I love this jumper. You look lovely xxx
ReplyDeleteI love your boots and your nails are adorable.
ReplyDeleteEveryone seems to have trouble with Blackberrys, but thankfully mine has lasted me through the 2 years of my contract without any trouble. I suppose I was just lucky though haha!
Leigh xx
I need to sort out my christmas present list tonight too, not bought a SINGLE present! I love these photos in the street btw, do your neighbours not try to run you over or give you strange looks though? Haha.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LIVED in Primark's cosy tights last year... they're fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLooking lovely :-)

Loving the Khaki, it's actually a colour I rarely wear so maybe I should try and introduce some to the wardrobe! I love getting new gadgets, have fun choosing and playing with a new phone :)
ReplyDeleteVery much loving this outfit Michelle, the khaki shorts are a great contrasts to the black tights and boots =)
ReplyDeleteI seriously need to start doing Christmas present lists, not long left to shop! xoxo
What a fab outfit!
ReplyDeletePrimark are THE business when it comes to cosy tights!! xo
I've heard amazing things about the cosy tights from Primark, I need to get me some!

They run quite small and are bloody thick, but very warm (: I'm defs sizing up when I buy my next pair, let's just say! xx
ReplyDeleteAw thank you m'lovely! This was my first pair of them, heard so many good things about them, and I was sick of doubling mine up haha. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you! I made a lovely list over the phone to my brother, we came up with some amazing ideas this year, we're expecting a very happy household on Dec 25th ;) xx
ReplyDeleteThank you! I always see it as a really classic yet slightly grungey colour (: Oh gosh, I'm literally so excited for it, I'm going to spend my weekend downloading widgets and all sorts! :P xx
ReplyDeleteThey're so warm and fleecy! Thanks Dayner! xx
ReplyDeleteI bought the first part of my Mama's on Tuesday evening, the kind of gift where you can picture their face as they open it! Really excited for Christmas (: Aw thanks Helen, our house is far too small to take photos in. I nearly got ran over by a van as it goes, and then a taxi! And my neighbours just assume I'm seriously vain... Not good ): xx
ReplyDeleteThank you! And also, thanks for the link on your blog Leigh, your blog is lovely (: I've had mine for 2 years, and the one before that was perfectly fine with no troubles, just think this one's run its' course :P xx
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteAw thank you! I've completely fallen in love with this olive/khaki green recently (: Ooh me too, it isn't an amazing phone but my techno-nerdy-geek brother has given it his stamp of approval, so we shall see! Apparently Barry M have some new glitter ones in! xx
ReplyDeleteThank you! xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! xx
ReplyDeleteAwh thanks Maria! Thought I'd take matchy-matchy to the extreme! ;) Hope you're well m'lovely! xxx

RIP Blackberry! Can I have your legs please? Thanks Merry Christmas xxx
ReplyDeleteYep, now is definitely a stressful time for students all over the UK. Deadlines are surfacing D: I can't wait until we have a Christmas break, but even then it will probably be spent revising for exams in January. This outfit looks so comfy and snug! Aww, R.I.P. Michelle's Blackberry haha. I have only had mine for about a year and 4 months (my 2 year contract is nearly up already :o) but it hasn't broke once! I think the secret is keeping the leather case on it to protect the keys from dust. I love my Blackberry, but I think in September I'll cross over to the iPhone batallion (just because I want instagram!). What phone are you thinking about upgrading to? :) xxx
ReplyDeletefinal year of uni is SO much pressure but i look back and wish i hadn't been so hard on myself as it's fine! :) love the outfit xx

That jumper looks so cosy! Love the colour of it as well!
ReplyDeleteNew phones are always exciting, I've moved on from Blackberrys as well, but only because I dropped mine and smashed the screen, oops!
Third year is so hard, I feel your pain! Not long and it will all be over though :) xx
Thank you! xx
ReplyDeleteI know ): Going to miss it's broken ways and Rabbito ears and tail! Bahaha, my legs are the product of much chocolate consumption and about 11 years of dance/stage school training! xxxx
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas break will be spent immersed in a job and dissertation research, the fun never ends ;) Good luck with your workload Philippa! Mine was a two year contract as well, it did well up until the 22nd/23rd month! I'm upgrading to an Xperia Ray (: xx
ReplyDeleteI'm just so worried and stressed all the time atm, that's why I'm blogging a little more atm, to relieve stress! Thanks lovely, just about to go and have a look at your blog (: xx
ReplyDeleteIt is SO cosy ;) A little scratchy, but nothing a bodysuit underneath won't sort out! Thank you Hayley! Haha oh dear...! I've never smashed a screen ever, only had about 3 phones, my first being when I was 17! Oh I know, massive sigh, best of luck to you too sweet. xx
ReplyDeleteFinal year is always stressful, but you'll be fine and will make it through... in style!

I remember those uni days in final year when everything seemed to keep piling up despite spending hours working...but then the deadlines pass and it was time to just go out and enjoy, which was amazing!
ReplyDeleteKhaki is one of my favourite colours at the moment because it is the colour of my barbour {well technically it is olive but looks kind of the same to me} and it looks amazing with my new brown boots!
Good luck with the work!
Fingers crossed! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely! xx
ReplyDeleteI feel like I do nothing but Uni work and blog at the moment haha, I've set up camp in my room until the 17th of December ;) Aw an olive green Barbour jacket must be beautiful. Thanks Lottie! xx
ReplyDeleteOh gawd, I'm only in second year and I know exactly how you feel. Stressful times, but all so worth it in the end :) I complain about assignments etc etc all the time, but I know the minute I graduate I'm gonna wish I was a student again.
ReplyDeleteWhole outfit is beautiful, love the colours and the DIY belt! Your boots are gorgeous too, I really wanna get some similar ones - such a classic style and look amaze with everything!
Aww, that sucks about your BB. They can be so temperamental can't they? If only I could afford an iPhone! x
It feels so good to know what you are getting for everyone on your list. Kudos to you for accomplishing it, I have yet to come up with anything for my Dad - he has so many scarfs, ties, watches, mugs, cups... Bleh.
