Surprise! It's me! (If you don't remember who this is, I'm that blogger who fails at technology, and is currently blogging with a thick Luella book balanced on her broken charger.) It feels so good to write on here again! Before I kick off with a catch-up and some Sunday photos, I just want to apologise for disappearing; my laptop charger is broken and I've been spending my first days back in Southampton hiding from the weird Autumn sun and playing with the kitten. I've also been reading, exploring my friends' new University abodes, organising dissertation notes and research, buying One Direction tour tickets, and chillin' with huge tubs of ice-cream.

A photo from about two weeks ago, I've been ridiculously slack with my photo diaries, haven't I? · Food, glorious food: cooked this Thai red curry and coconut chicken dish the other night · Taking photos of surfaces and textures with my little sister · I snapped an outfit post before I moved · Archie hanging out in my room · The best post I have ever received (owl post, to be precise) from my beautiful Gem · Mama and I, casually matching outfits by accident on Thursday! · I'll be writing a review very shortly of this book: it surprised me so much and is possibly one of my new favourites · Pad Thai from the food cart in town at home - best! · The gorgeous knit my Mama bought me as a traditional new-year-at-Uni gift, I love her to bits! · My business cards arrived last week, and I'm so pleased with them · Zoya 'Marina' polish is my new favourite, the perfect slate blue-gray colour with a slight shimmer and pretty good application.

Things are finally settling down for me now, and I'm so happy to be moved into our house. Seeing the girls all the time for topical conversations about Sheldon Cooper, pole dancing and popcorn flavour preferences is definitely my kind of thing! I've also received my University timetable - which looks so empty - and swiftly pencilled in a vague blogging schedule, so with a bit of luck, things will be settled back at Daisybutter in no time. I do, however, need to assign myself a new outfit photographer! For now though, I'm off to crack open the Carte Dor and prep myself for another attempt to install a lampshade. Woeful. xo

Amy: Eeeep I know right?! Gem is the best for doing that for me, I ran down the drive in my dressing gown to wave it in my Mum's face, who just stared at me in disbelief haha! Thanks lovely, would def recommend Marina ;) I know you're a nail varnish addict Amy! x

Victoria: I love 'em haha! Much better than scribbling my details on a bit of paper at events hahaha (: Oh gosh I know, my Mum was like, you should just get a hotel for two days a week and live at home, would be much cheaper! Hahaha ;) x

  17. NEW YORK MINUTE! I remember dragging my friends along to the cinema to see this which was embarrasing on two accounts as 1) I was 17(ish) and 2)It was only playing at 10am so we had to get up extra early just for 90 minutes of olsen.

The owl post looks quite intreaguing

  20. ZOMG owl post. *fangasm* How does one send it? I fear my owl may have gotten lost in the mail. Darn muggle post. Pottermore is about the closest I get to owl post these days.

Also your business cards look amazing - classy and understated. Just sayin'.

  21. Sarah: I know just how you feel (: Feels weird after such a long break! I'm settled and quite content in my new house actually, just feels nice to sit and do nothing for once. And thank you! Dithered over the design for ages! x

    Zena: (: Thanks lovely!

Suzanne: Thank you! I can't wait for the autumn weather to return so I can wear it! x

Jane: Awh thank you (: Good luck to you as well! x

Eloise: Haha oh I remember a similar scenario ;) The owl post was my "acceptance letter" to Hogwarts haha, sent from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter when Gem's friend went this summer. So lovely and thoughtful of Gem! x

Casee: Thank you sweetness! We didn't even realise that we were matching until we'd left the house and set off for my Uni town. Oh I'm sure your business cards will be beautiful, they'll blow mine out of the water! I would 100% recommend it if you have Zoya nearby ;) x

Ashleigh: Aw thanks lovely! Ugh I know, so bloody annoying!

the scarecrow: I believe it was from the WWOHP (: Thanks lovely! x

  27. Omg! That letter Gem sent you looks really lovely, I'm so jealous. I'd have that framed and up on my wall in an instant, haha! Pad Thai is my faaaaaavourite thing to order when I'm getting take-out... yumyum. Also, SQUEE! Your kitty is so adorable! Can I also say that I LOVE the name Archie? This is going to sound really dorky but I named my main Pokemon Archie in every Pokemon game I ever owned, hahaha, and my DSLR's name is Archie, too.
