daisybutter - UK Style Blog: week in photos 17/10-23/10

Pretty new (discounted) purchases have made me happy · Shared some Guylian chocolates with my sister at home · Broke out my old mustard yellow coat, which everybody except me hates · Archie attempting to sabotage my outfit photos · Met Sabrina at the ELLE and H&M Fashion Network event · My outfit for the event: shorts are from Forever 21 · Rose wine, spinach and ricotta pizza, kitty cuddles and TV with Jamie on Friday evening · Pastaaa goodness. Ahem.

Today is a day dedicated to reading textbooks, journal articles, and finalising my first draft of a textual analysis. I've been feeling well-motivated all week, and I think that's partly down to my mid-week jaunt to London for that Elle and H&M event, sorry to keep banging on about it! It definitely kick-started my work brain, because I've been up until 2am most nights, just trying to get all of my thoughts on paper. Lovely jubbly.

In-between working away at unsociable hours, I've been playing endless hours of The Sims Social on Facebook, rustling up some yummy meals with Ebony, setting up my new University blog, and getting back into my watch-a-Harry-Potter-film-a-day system. Also, my new University blog is hosted on Tumblr, so if you have an account there, I would seriously appreciate it if you'd give it a follow and leave me some comments, likes and reblogs! I've set up Disqus on there, and I'm considering installing it over here on Daisybutter too.

Other than that, it's been a relatively quiet week: nothing nicer than chilled autumn days in the warmth (well, as warm as a student house can get!), X Factor last night was pretty appalling, wasn't it? I have a love/hate relationship with that programme, yet can never seem to change the channel on a Saturday night, I just love how hilarious my Twitter timeline suddenly gets in the evenings! Fingers crossed that Cocozza kid or Sami Brookes leaves tonight! xo

  6. I really like your coat, I wish mustard suited me as it's such a beautiful colour. Glad you're keeping busy, I'm giving myself a break after my proposal but work will continue next week.. hopefully!

I'm not a fan of the xfactor but i'll watch it due to mom always having it on. There's a guy who can't sing for the world, I think he's called Frankie? I do like Gary Barlow better than Simon though!

  12. x factor was so appauling last night! i do think its a bit irrelevant what goes on backstage.. like frankie must have creeped the majority there, yet they arent standing on stage like, 'frankie, you're a scum. everyone in the house thinks you need to wash/crawl under a rock'. felt really bad for misha, how humiliating! really hope she isnt as bad as they made out.. i think it was personally a bit of tactical scheming on tulisa's side! (she really didnt get the point of rock week did she? you wouldnt take a song and make it 'sound' like michael jackson on his week would you? silly girl)

as you can see, x factor definitely really riles me up haha but i definitely tune in every week without fail! will be a beautiful evening if frankie goes definitely.

  13. I love your mustard coat, dear (: I'm really craving pizza now. God damn, Mish! You sound busy busy busy with uni work. I hope it all goes swimmingly well - you deserve all the best! I'm swamped with creative writing which is doing my head in but hopefully I'll get it all done! I haven't watched HP in soooo long. I definitely need some Grint in my life. Although, the new Ed Sheeran vid is doing just fine! Really missing having a telly when everyone tweets about X Factor :( Aww sweet, Glad you liked my travel journal :D Sharing it makes me wanna go away again :'(

  21. Haha! I got bored of The Sims Social pretty quickly, unfortunately. The Elle/H&M event looks like it was a blast from what I've been reading about it, though! Good to hear you're being productive (wish I could say the same for myself D:)
