Today I broke many of my personal rules: I a) got dressed on a Sunday, b) wore two animal prints (both leopard, before you're all horrified by my clothing antics, and c) wore jeans. I think I'm turning over a new leaf, after being in jeans for about 90% of the week, I've fallen back in love with some very well worn-in denim and supple textures. By the way, excuse my hair and facial expressions in this post, it was so bright yet windy outside - not ideal for outfit photos.

(Fisherman knit jumper, Topshop;
Animal print top, Topshop;
Straight-leg jeans, Miss Selfridge - really really old stock;
"Caggie" boots, ASOS;
Fleur de Lis necklace, c/o Sunken Rose;
Bracelet, c/o Happytoasts;
Clutch, H&M c/o The Look Show.)

I had planned to spend the day in my pyjamas, and then sneakily reshoot my outfit from last week's GlossyBox event to share with you today, but decided to pop out with my sister for a little bit instead. We went for a little gossip, to buy food and then as ever, she snapped my outfit photos for me. There's something quite satisfying about getting up late and deciding to actually get dressed on a Sunday, you know, the lazy me is finally turning over a new leaf!

I think this outfit is quite a step up from my usual attire. I've spent a week just reverting to basics, and really like this look. "Borrowed" the jumper from my Mamabear who is currently in Hong Kong, and I like the oversize fit. (Mama and I are different sizes, obvz.) The little bit of leopard print peeking out underneath dresses everything up, and ties the look together quite well: my new go-to outfit for Uni lectures next month. This clutch bag came with my Look Show goody bag all the back in February. I completely forgot about it, but then spied it lurking with my shoe box tower in my wardrobe and needed to wear it immediately. Yep, a leopard-print clutch bag and heeled boots to the supermarket. Appropriate as ever.

Got a few reviews and other bits and bobs pencilled in to post this coming week, which I think you'll enjoy. I've discovered so many lovely products to share with you: honestly, my hair has never felt so smooth and silky in my life. My September GlossyBox arrived early on Friday too, as I went to the event last week. I've had a peek in mine, and played around with everything over the weekend, and I'm so excited to hear what everyone else thinks of theirs next week. Also, is anyone going to be at London Fashion Week? Let me know, I'd love to meet more peeps. xo

  7. I happen to love wearing multiple prints. Clashing leopard is a great idea.
    I'm working for Vauxhall Fashion Scout for the whole of fashion week, not sure how many shows I'll get to see. Hope you have a good time!

  12. Sophie: I think you'll like it, but I'm already anticipating mixed reviews. I'm yet to try two of this month's products, but really love mine (: Aw thanks sweet. Haha that is usually me, every Sunday, I just wish it was acceptable to leave the house in pyjamas. x

    Fiona: Thanks lovely (:

    Catherine: Thank you! I'm so excited to have rediscovered the clutch! x

    Rose: This season is going to be the reinvention of jeans in my wardrobe I think! Probs gonna stick to Primark and H&M jeans though, can't splash out on £40 jeans like I used to haha. Oh I'd love a skinny fabric leopard print belt actually, might keep my eye out for one soon! x

    Elizabeth: Thank you lovely. Had to get the boots, no way I'd be able to save for Isabel Marant ones! x

    Isabela: Thank you so much lovely, I'm still in love with my boots. x

    Phoebe: Mm me too (: Clashing prints is definitely something I do a lot! Aw are you? I had planned to apply and work back-of-house, but it kept slipping my mind, and now I'll be on the other side! Thank you sweet, I hope you do as well! x

    Sarah: Aw thanks Sarah! I think it'll be a split opinion, I personally really like it though (: x

    Victoria: It'll either be this, or a hoodie and leggings ;) Goodbye fashion blogger reputation(!) Literally can't wait to be back in Southampton. Ow really?! It's been bright skies by day and pouring with rain at night in good ol' Stevenage, I always forget you don't live up the road haha! xxxx

    Huda: Thank you!

    Ena: I've never been a huge fan, but I quite like it in small doses (:

    Caroline: Aw thank you (: I love my boots haha, best purchase I've made all year! x

  18. I like :) I'm starting to like jeans again too actually - I'm more of a skirt/dress/playsuit kinda girl but I bought a pair of burgandy jeans today, which I'd seen the other day but there were none in my size! Found one pair in my size today so it was meant to be!
    Gorgeous animal print top! xx

  19. Jade: Thank you so much!

    Elodie: I just find it really hard to find a pair that fit me perfectly, so it puts me off shopping for them in the first place. I only have this pair, a Chanel pair and a Ralph Lauren pair in my collection! Thanks lovely (:

    Rubie: Thank you sweetie! x

    Sarah: Thanks Sarah!

    Farrah: Aw thank you lovely. I bought mine with the discount offer that was running at the time on ASOS.com, makes it much more affordable, although I've seen some similar to mine in New Look for a lot less money! I'm not an expert in jeans shopping, I only have this pair, a Chanel pair and a Ralph Lauren pair, all of which were lucky finds (:

    Rachel: Thank you so much Rachel, I hope you're well (: x

    Sophie: Mm me too usually, I've always preferred seperates, but in the form of little shirts and skirts, never really jeans unless I'm in a horrendous mood :-P I really want a burgundy/wine pair actually, going to have a look in H&M and Primark (: Thanks Sophie!

  20. I love this outfit, the jumper is so cute! It seems strange to see you in jeans but they suit you :)
    Kind of wishing I'd thought about Fashion Week now, being newly unemployed it would've been something fun to pass the time! x

  21. i'm totally about wearing dresses and shorts. wore skinny jeans for the first time in ages recently and my gosh - it's like torture for my legs. i love how they look though so will obviously persevere for the colder months, with a big knitted jumper. i can't wait to see what's in the next glossy box, i saw a foreign blog post about gloosybox brazil recently and saw that it contained kleenex tissue hehe - i'm sure that the one coming next week will be awesome though!

  26. i wish i had your sense of style, michelle!
    and i kind of feel the same about jeans recently- although i actually haven't worn a pair (other than 'trying on') in probably almost 2 years. and i don't actually own any anymore, but i've actually been looking for a pair for winter- something about jeans and boots, loveee. and i am overly excited about going shopping for winter shoes soon. (i don't know how to dress, but shoes i can do xD)

  27. I think you look fab in jeans :) definitely need to wear them more often! I have such problems with jeans cos of the length, but I've recently gotten back into wearing them too. They're so easy to dress up or down

  30. Thank you for the comments girls. Oversized jumpers and little flippy skirts or indeed jeans is the way forward for me, something nice and relaxed! You lot have such a knack for leaving lovely comments, really brightens up my evenings (:

    Love Hearts and Crosses: I can't spill anything about the boxes, but I can assure you there is no Kleenex involved, I'd be shocked if that popped up in a future box, I buy Kleenex pretty much every week for under a pound :-P

  32. I think a necklace would do the trick, I only have a gold orb kind of one though and I really need to start investing in silver jewelery! I was sceptical to wear the boots as well, so thankyou, lovely!

    The leopard peeking out is absolutely gorgeous! I need to find some nice oversized jumpers (my mum is the same size as me - boo!). I've been living in my jeans for a while now, Blakpool is too cold for sheer tights so I need to stock up on super warm ones for winter!
