Having one of the laziest days in the history of ever, even by my standards. I did decide to go one up from yesterday though, and actually get dressed to mooch about the house, sort little bits out and pop out for some fresh air with my little sister. Savouring the free time and my little hometown for the last few days before madness ensues and I have to begin my third - and final! - year at Uni.

(Jumper, Boohoo;
Skirt, Topshop;
Belt, a strip of faux leather - haberdashery stores;
Tights, Wolford;
Brogues, Primark;
Necklace, gifted by the gorgeous Beth;
Tote bag, LFW.)

I say this so much, but this is my new favourite outfit: the cosy knit, little casual tie-up belt and a super-creased skater skirt makes for a simple, I-didn't-try-too-hard look. I'm such a sucker for just reworking old favourites instead of buying anew, and this pink skirt is a prime example of that. Found this skirt in my sister's overnight bag from the weekend, hence the creasing, but I like the imperfect look, I'm more concerned that she keeps borrowing my clothes, yet I don't notice because of the sheer amount of clothes in my wardrobe at the moment! I'm also toying with the idea of buying my Boohoo jumper in another colour - I honestly love it so much.

Monday marked my final shift at my parents' restaurant, which I couldn't be more pleased about. Much as I like to spend my spare time complaining about work, it isn't too bad because I typically just chat a lot, get given free cinema tickets by lovely customers (yep, this did happen to me last week!) and eat a never-ending supply of food from my Dad, who is the head chef. Rediscovered my Eyeko Pastel varnish which is gorgeous, the perfect iridescent pastel blue colour, I'm so sad that the nail varnishes are gone now, but the Eyeko rebrand and redesign is absolutely perfect, so chic and contemporary. I also really really want a set of nails from Charlene's genius nail art store, Dainty Nails, would definitely recommend having a look in her store!

Today is my brother's birthday, and it feels so weird to be celebrating it while he's up in Lincoln enjoying Freshers' Week. Happy birthday Jonny! ♥ I hope those lot up there are being kind to him and treating him to some £1 birthday cake from Asda! I think I'm spending my evening eating chocolate snowmen and doing some reading for Uni, as well as trying to bring back the battery level icon on my laptop - so inconvenient when my battery drains and shuts down when I have no way of knowing. Thanks Compaq and technology overall (my phone is also on its' last legs again)! What's everyone else up to tonight? ♥

PS. I updated my blog layout so the post archive is right at the bottom of the page now, and there are some new bits in the sidebar... and I also updated my blogroll!

  20. 'Much as I like to spend my spare time complaining about work' this count not sum up my summer any better.

    ahh christ completely forgotten about our final projects/dissertations.. ive done a fair bit i'd like to think, so may just be lazy and wait until we're given further instructions... then i know ill get back to uni and regret being so lazy when everyone has done loads!

  22. Your blog layout is always lovely and organised! I admire your skills big time.

    That jumper looks incredibly cosy also and I like how its dressed up with the skirt and the sparkles! I went back to uni Friday and it's my last year too; where the time has gone? It's so daunting though as I keep thinking of the future, I don't want to be a failure and not find a job I enjoy! Although I get told constantly that I'm a real pessimist :P

  23. absolutely stunning, michelle! and the jumper & skirt combo is genius, real pretty. and i like the new eyeko, but i really miss the nail polishes too! 'cosmic' was my favourite EVER, so fingers crossed 'mixed up' from models own will be a good enough dupe. waah!

    and the chocolate snowman's even better than i ever imagined, hehe ;)
