Wearing something my mother would never let me leave the house in today, or one that she'd attempt to stop me leaving the house in. My Mum is quite against clashing patterns, anything too out of the ordinary and definitely anything sheer! She and I end up arguing over clothes a LOT, but to me, clothes and style is a further extension of someone's personality; a mishmash and quite an eclectic taste is very representative of me, as anyone who has met me will know.

(Playsuit, H&M;
Scarf, c/o Roamkix Vintage;
Cardigan, A little boutique in Hong Kong;
Moccassins, Topshop;
Necklace and rings, Topshop.)

Nothing new once again, I'm definitely one for rewearing pieces over and over again if I like them enough! I bought this playsuit right at the start of the summer, and I still love it. It's lovely and soft, and perfectly draped, if that makes sense? I just accessorised with a cute little silk scarf, some jewellery that I found in my Alexa last night, and my faithful, battered up moccassins. Bonus snap of a sans-glasses Mish... just because, today's activities, and my too-full make-up bag. Perfect.

I'm supposed to be in Bristol right now, sipping drinks and eating good food with the likes of Bee, Lyzi, Rosie, Laura, Kim and so many other lovely ladies. Decided against travelling through London for Southampton (then onto Bristol from there) earlier in the week though, seeing as everything is still a bit uncertain in London. I'm also horrendously poor at the moment too: payday just can't come soon enough! Tonight, in my aforementioned horrendously poor state, I'm staying in with some coffee, some books and a few hours of Maplestory. Hoping to post another Ways to Wear for you tomorrow, so "stay tuned" and all that!

  2. I hate it when it gets to this stage in the month when it's pretty much a countdown to the 26th (my payday).
    I love the colour and pattern of your scarf, especially against the dark cardigan.

  6. Looks like we both dropped out of the Bristol meet-up! I, too, was iffy about going because of the riots. I didn't want to end up being stranded in town by myself tonight because of how my bus is being during this time.

    Cute outfit! I like how the patterns clash, haha. I love clashing patterns and colours, though. And I'm definitely one for rewearing pieces over and over again, too!

  9. I think you look lovely Michelle! My mum's appreciation of fashion is almost vicarious I think, rather than hate any weird/wacky combinations I try out, I think she actually likes them...almost reliving her youth [she recently told me about a leopard print, elbow-padded blazer she once had. Still crying at the fact she threw it out!]
    I have this playsuit too, and like you find it so comfy! Tis a little short on me, but it's so much easier than other playsuits I've tried as it just slips off rather than having to faff around with zips etc...never a good thing in a rush!
    ANYWAY, I've rambled forever, hope you enjoy your quiet night in, and that life in general is treating you well! x

  10. Pretty sure I had a Maplestory related dream last night... despite the fact I've never actually played it.

    Love the print of that playsuit, pretty sure I saw it in H&M once in the dress style.

  29. Haha, I know a lot about clothes-argues with my mom, too! I myself am a bit pattern-shy, but know a lot of people who can combine simply anything and look gorgeous in it. Like you do in this outfit!

    You have such pretty eyes, I'm very jealous!
    I can see why you'd choose not to travel, everywhere's been a bit iffy at the moment! xx

  34. Aww, you look darling. I've not really tried the clashing patterns thing yet (my mom is very matchy-matchy, I think it rubbed off on me a bit) but I always love seeing others try it! And I love all your jewelery, so cute.

    I've been sorry to hear about the happenings in London!
