Sometimes all it takes to make you feel at ease and stylish is a simple white tee. I think the humble T-shirt is one of the most underrated and overlooked garments in a wardrobe, a shame when they can look so effortlessly chic too. Wednesday 27th July saw the launch of Niki and Sarah's brainchild: Hero&Cape.

A British based fashion label, Hero&Cape makes the wearer the hero of the story, with unique and original illustrations printed on T-shirts. I personally adore the first capsule collection, full of kitsch and comic book style pieces. There really is something for everyone, men included, and I'd imagine they'd look lovely both with denim (jeans, cut-offs, etc.) or a girly skater skirt, or even with a dramatic midi or maxi skirt. I've styled up some of my personal favourites below, as with all of the looks and inspiration posts I write, take it with a pinch of salt, everything is interchangeable for things you might already have!

Went a bit little flower girl with this look. The scalloped Peter Pan collar and ribbon bow detailing is so feminine and darling, I couldn't pass up on the chance to pair it with some floral dungarees. Emma and I spotted a few dungarees in Forever 21 yesterday actually, but the quality wasn't great etc. - these Topshop ones look promising! I've co-ordinated it with a straw hat and tan brogues purely for the colour match, I think in Looks like these, matching everything properly just adds to that sweet, prim feel.

I really like Look Two; the Superhero Crest print is so nice, and is just different enough from the rest of the High Street's offerings. You will often find these types of tops in Topman or the men's department of Primark, but never really for women! I've paired it with this mustard midi skirt to feminise it and then popped a sleeveless jacket on as well. Absolutely adore the new collection at House of Harlow, so had to whack that in too!

Look Three is a bit alternative and way out of my personal safety net. I adore these bloomer shorts from American Apparel, my sister has a pair that she picked up for about HK$20 a few summers ago and they're super cute and flattering on petite figures. My sister was pretty much the inspiration for this Look: the all-white midi hi-top Converse are so perfect for the summer!

  10. I've been looking at the Hero and Cape collection ever since Temporary Secretary blogged about them. The shop is so amazing, I love how you've pair everything.. The prices aren't bad at all either. I'd quite like them to sell some similar things that you've paired them with and the skirt they've styled the balloon tshirt with!
