Threw on whatever I could find at 7am this morning when getting ready and I quite liked it, it definitely matched the colour palette of the constant downpour of rain today. I don't think I've been up this early for the entirety of the summer! Just had to run to the docs for a few things, nothing serious, but I was a complete drama queen over having to have an injection. I hate those things.

(Grey slouchy top, Urban Outfitters;
Polka dot vest, New Look;
Shorts, DIY;
Wooden Ampersand necklace, c/o Maria Allen Jewellery.)

I quite like the different hem lengths of my tops in this outfit. It made for a lovely, casual and comfy look, but I did end up tying up the end of the grey top to cinch things in a bit and show that I was actually wearing shorts underneath! I bought both of these tops absolutely ages ago, and forever wear them on this blog, but they look quite different together, right? Left the house wearing all this, black opaque beyond opaque tights, little tan brogues and my Mulberry Alexa, which is ageing nicely, I'm surprised it isn't dirtier, being white and all!

We went to Brent Cross for the afternoon to pick a few bits up. My brother got into his top choice of University today (the University of Lincoln to study Accountancy if you were wondering!) and we had a celebratory meal at Wagamama. So, so good! Wagamama is probably one of my top five favourite restuarants, and my Uncle's company supplies some of their starters, fun fact! I may have also accidentally bought some Lush goodies and a Babyliss conical wand; I don't use heat on my hair at all at the moment, and it is currently in the best condition that I can remember. Hopefully this won't destroy all my hard work!

Finally, don't forget to enter my giveaway for a chance to win a gorgeous Very English Tea Party necklace, you have until Sunday 28th August to get your entries in and there are plenty of chances to win. I was also featured on Fern's 'Beyond the Blogger' series yesterday, where I share some lesser-known facts about myself, if you're interested in something extra to read! Going to nurse my dead arm, have a coffee (such a caffeine addict!) and read my mags and HP. See you on Twitter for a Celeb BB tweet-along/liveblog, don't lie, you know you're going to watch it...!

  32. You look lovely- I really like the layering too. I love my conical wand, I could never get the hang of curling with hair straighteners, it's such an easy alternative and the effect is so pretty x

  33. Absolutely adore the slouchy top, it's a lovely outfit, I wish I could create such a cohesive look at such an early hour!
    I've had my eye on the Babyliss wand for a while, but then I use heat on my hair every single day, so I shudder to think about the condition it's currently in!
