Went into town on my day off today to pay money in, pay rent and run other monotonously dull errands. Managed to leave with two pretty new books, some chocolate Amaretto truffles, boring Boots bits (i.e. facewipes, toner and dry shampoo!)  despite my spending ban, which lasted all of five days. I saw lots of lovely new pieces in Miss Selfridge and Topshop too; they've really upped their game, and I'm hoping to pick some new bits up in London on Thursday!

Keeping to the same fits and garment styles that I usually wear but with some new additions, like open backs, more batwing details and some pops of colour. Everything I've picked is subconsciously inspired by Chloe, Alexander Wang, Elizabeth and James, and a tiny bit of Erdem. I'm even considering some subtle colour-block once it's past the typical colour-block season. I'm mostly drawn to this blouse in Miss Selfridge, think my quest for the perfect shirt can be put on pause for a little while now! The warm, autumnal tones cropping up everywhere are really inspiring me, and I've got my eye on anything Dalmatian inspired and printed as well, loved Topshop Unique's AW11 collection in February! God bless the British High Street this coming season for fulfilling all of my fashion wishes. Think the above will be the kind of thing I'll be wearing in the upcoming months.

My Mama's decided to do a day in London on Thursday, think we're staying pretty central but I'm excited all the same! I just don't do well staying in the same little town 24/7, so it'll be good to have a day out, and I really want to pop to Make Up Store in Carnaby Street too. Then next week, I believe we have plans to pop to the Isle of Wight for a few days. It's just over the water from Southampton, and I haven't been in years now! Lovely jubbly to have some plans, even if they're not set in stone just yet.

What are your favourite pieces from my picks? Anything caught your fancy on the High Street for the upcoming season?

  33. I'm actually impressed - I don't think I'd even manage five days on a spending ban!
Adore that scarf & both the pairs of flats, but I'm just really in love with a few of the colour palettes I'm seeing on the high street right now, particularly with Topshop Unique's collection for the upcoming season and H&M's latest catalogue. I just always find myself feeling much more inspired, styling-wise, at this time of year.
