Thought I'd share the final layout, images and styling from my Reflective Styling Portfolio for one of my units last semester. I posted a snippet on last week's Week in Photos and a lot of you wanted to see it in more detail, and I'm hardly ever one to disappoint ;) My deadline was on Wednesday 11th May, but of course, I handed mine in last week so I could come home earlier for the Summer! Now that our deadline has been and gone, I think I'm 'safe' to share the final product with you.

The brief required me to prepare a portfolio of 10 written and visual tasks, looking at different aspects of styling for magazines, as well as editorial and commercial styling. I think it was by far my favourite unit of second year! I produced this fashion story as my final task, pitching the piece to InStyle magazine (UK), and then forecasting and styling for the Oriental trend. The trend actually happened to pop up on the Topshop homepage this week, which I'm secretly really proud of!

Let me know what you think in the comments below. Big thanks to my friend Kerry for modelling for me as well!

  26. LOVE the oriental theme, use of colour is beautiful. We also did tasks like this in our University course, too bad we've graduated now :-(.
You've inspired us to share our work online too, so we'll be getting that online in the next couple of days if you'd like to look :-)
    Lots of love,
