Hello again lovelies! I trust you are all here on this sunny Wednesday for some inspiration and ideas of how to get more wears out of items in your wardrobe? Or just to while away some time as we hit the mid-week marker? I can't decide if I'm looking forward to the weekend or not: while it means some extreme chocolate consumption on all of our behalfs, and some time off work, I'm scooting back to Uni late on Sunday evening. Do not want to go.

This week's Ways to Wear item is the denim A-line skirt from New Look. Jess requested this item last week, and it is such a perfectly summery piece, I just had to feature it today. As with all of my previous items, there are some cheaper alternatives, more expensive options and other slight variations on this piece, the choice is completely up to you, I'm just showing you what you can potentially wear with it.

Get the look! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

I know that Look One isn't to everyone's tastes, but I saw this gingham bralet in Topshop and just had to feature it. Take a leaf out of the Where Are My Knees? girls' book, and wear with the denim skirt and a toned tummy to wow this summer. I've also added socks (worn scrunched of course) and a pair of these plait detail wedges, a la Harriet and Emma! Of course I've included a little lace waistcoat on the top so it isn't too bare-all, but of course, this can be swapped for a cream cardigan or light jacket!

Get the look! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

Look Two is extremely girly and whimsical in my opinion. I absolutely love this layered top from H&M, and have found myself wanting so much in this layered style. I love coral tones at the moment too, not too pink and not too orange, therefore the perfect girly colour. Every time I wear my Primark loafers in an outfit, I get so much feedback complimenting me on them: I had to include a sweet, off-white pair in this look. I finally added this United Jack shopper bag from Topshop to add to the Royal Wedding phenomenon. I envisage this outfit being worn on a leisurely cycling trip, Blair and Marcus style, so a canvas bag is perfect for such an occasion, and well as perfectly 'on trend' in a slightly horrific manner.

Get the look! 1, 2, 3, 45.

I've focused my final look on the straw and wooden accents, which is really reminscent of a British summer to me. There's just something so quaint and traditionally rustic about a button-up denim skirt! I think every blogger and their dog has this scallop button through top now, so I thought I'd include it in Look Three. Wear untucked for that extra loose, jersey look, and add a boater hat to tailor it properly. I've included these beautiful floral wedges, which add height and dress the look up a bit, balancing out the untucked shirt.

I hope this week's edition gave you some ideas of ways to style up a skirt. It can easily be interchanged for a non-denim A-line skirt, or other denim item. I've had a mini brainstorm of items to be featured over the next few weeks, so any outstanding and new requests will have to be backlogged for the time being, just wanted to bring the feature back to basics that people will already have in their wardrobe.

  18. Love this ways to wear... especially #2! I'm looking into getting an a-line jean or chambray skirt since I wear jeans all the time I figured it'd be the easiest skirt to style.

  33. Great feature! I agree with the coral colour; not too pink, not too orange! Pefect tone. Look 3 is my favourite I think even though Look 1 is stunning I don't think I have the guts to bare all but that bracelet would look great under a sheer blouse also!
