Decided to wear the latest addition to my wardrobe today, despite it not really matching the weather at home at the moment. Grey and overcast while the ladies on Twitter have sunshine?! I went shopping on Thursday, with all the intentions of spending too much money, but there wasn't much that I had to have. Am going to Westfield in London next week though, so hopefully my money will be splurged there instead.

(Top, Boutique near my apartment in HK;
Skirt, Topshop;

I'm not sure what made me buy this skirt, I'm not a huge wearer of colours on the whole. I like the black band on the skirt, it's a little nod to the colourblock trend, which is usually my worst nightmare personified! I'd planned to wear this with a T-shirt but couldn't find the said T-shirt anywhere, the one I'm wearing cost me pennies from Hong Kong and is so comfy. The huge bow reminds me of Lady Gaga circa 2009, and although you can't see it, it features the loveliest lace trim detail at the hem. Although you can't see them (and I'm much too lazy to go back and photograph them), I'm wearing black T-bar flats from Topshop with this outfit, which brings the outfit together and matches the black band: I don't usually worry much about matching accents properly in my outfits, but today was an exception!

Spent yesterday powering through six hours of portfolio work and there's still so much to do. I think I'm spending my Saturday finishing off an essay or two, and storyboarding for my portfolio again. I'm struggling to gather up motivation to finish my assignments... Roll on the summer! I did finally finish editing my final fashion story photos though, and will probably post them to the blog once hand-ins are done with.

  33. Love this outfit Mish! Really nice skirt, we had on and off sun today, enough for a barbie though. I hate it when that happens, you go out with the intention of getting a fair few bags of things and come back with one. Or like today I went out with the intention of spending no money and did! xx
