The pair I have featured in my looks is the Rust Buckle Chino from Miss Selfridge, but again, there are SO many on the high street - I particularly want to try a pair of those £12 ones in Primark! For those who don't quite fancy a pair of tailored trousers, there are plenty of hareem ones out there at the moment, which won't make you look pyjama-esque too.
I'm absolutely obsessed with the floral print shirt featured in Look One. I've been tempted to buy a sleeveless buttonthrough top from Topshop since they came into stores in December, but am so glad I resisted, because this will be much more worth it! The buttons and sweet collar keep the outfit refined and chic, yet the girly print dresses it right down. I've added a Casio watch, in keeping with a vintage, summery feel, and these beyond-adorable rose studs from Dolly Bow Bow. For footwear, I popped a pair of these super affordable plaited sandals, which I'm sure almost everyone owns! I don't tend to feature bags in these W2W posts, which is a travesty considering my handbag addiction - this beautiful red satchel makes the outfit pop and keeps the look summery and laidback.
1, 2, 3, 4.
Look Two is my attempt to mix a cutesy look with an edge. Bralets are one of my many fashion obsessions at the moment, but they're quite hard to style and feel comfortable in, which is why I've added this sheer batwing blouse into the mix! The tones of the diamond print match perfectly with the trousers, yet the blouse adds a respectable touch to the outfit, which would be worn open. I think wedged shoes/boots are often the key to pulling off the peg leg trouser look, particularly if you are short! Finish off with this sweet Doll's House necklace from Accessorize.
Look Three is an Asian-infused look in my opinion, it's very much my sort of outfit if I were to ever go near a pair of trousers! A scallop edged vest is nice and simple but not too plain, tucked into a pair of peg legs. I bought this blousette dress last week and can imagine it looking gorgeous worn unbuttoned over this outfit, and cinched in with a belt. Keep the blousette quite open, to expose the waistband of your trousers for an instantly unique and chic look. I've never seen anything quite as adorable as this Scotty Dog clasp belt from Topshop to add some quirkiness to the outfit, and as this look was requested by Abby, I couldn't not include a giraffe piece somewhere!
I'm really enjoying reading the feedback from this feature, hopefully it's helping some of you to get more wears out of items in your wardrobe too! If you have a specific request, you can always email me directly, or ask anonymously via Formspring. This week's feature was such a challenge! I'll be back next Wednesday to answer Bee's holiday wardrobe request, for her imminent holiday to Corfu! ;)
