It isn't often that I will write a review on my blog, I don't have a huge knowledge base of beauty products at all, therefore find that more often than not, there will be a better review elsewhere in the blogasphere. However, I first purchased John Frieda's Root Awakening Strength Infusing conditioner in November, after complaints of my hair being dry and awful to work with, and have been smitten ever since.

I was doubtful of the full effects of this conditioner at first, in all honesty. I'm not one for doing much to my hair, and I don't even own hair straighteners at the moment! I'm the sort of girl who barely notices the effects of different products on a day-to-day basis, but since purchasing this, I've really seen a difference. Firstly, it smells incredible - as a self-confessed Lush addict, scents of products are a huge influencing factor into whether I 'like' a product or not, and this does not disappoint, with a fresh, minty yet sweet fragrance. I am led to believe from the bottle (tube?) that it contains eucalyptus, but I can't say for sure whether that is the scent I want to describe!

This conditioner is one that quite literally leaves instant results. I'm almost always rushed for time, and even after leaving this product in my hair for a minute or so, and washing out, my hair does honestly feel silky smooth to the touch! I feel positive that if I bit the bullet and replaced my trusty Big shampoo from Lush with John Frieda's complementing shampoo and leave-in spray, my hair would be even shinier!

The only negative of this product would be the price, if that. It retails at around £5 for 250ml, although this varies between retailers obviously, but I think its worth every penny for shiny tresses. It also lasts forever: almost five months after purchasing my first bottle, I've just started using a second. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who is feeling a bit blah about the condition of their hair (:

Just as a disclaimer and that, I did buy this myself, and I'm not being sponsored for this review. I just thought I'd share my love for this product to my readers, and branch out a little in terms of content on my blog.

  3. I'm in definite need of a decent conditioner, I didn't realise how damaged my hair was was until I dyed it and it just sucked up all the dye pretty much straight away!
