Evening loves! Hope you've all had a good weekend so far? I've had quite the productive day following a good three hours laying under the duvet, half sleeping and half debating getting out of bed for an earlier start. I can't remember the last Saturday that I've spent doing anything remotely constructive while at Uni to be honest, most of the time people have gone home and I struggle to fill my weekend.

(Navy blue polka dot top, New Look;
High-waisted shorts, River Island;
Chunky knit cardigan, Hollister;
Necklaces, Swarovski (on the tan cord) and Handmade by Me (compass).)

I didn't put much thought into today's outfit. I opted for comfort over anything else, because I spent a good three hours spring-cleaning my room today! Everything feels more organised now, I just need to get used to not rummaging through clutter haha. I bought this polka dot top from New Look, on a whim during a gap between lectures last summer, and it is just SO versatile. It can be layered over or under tops, tucked in, left loose and worn with leggings... Most of the pieces in my wardrobe seem to be like this though! Bit of an economical shopper? Who would've thunk it?! (I'm totally joking btw, who am I kidding...?)

Today I went into the City Centre with my flatmates Rebecca and Grace, to pick up a few essentials (ie. Lush fresh facemask, brownie mixture...!) and snoop around the shops. I literally hate shopping in January: the sales stress me out, the clothes feel too Wintery to buy for this time of the year, and they haven't yet put out the new season collections. Blah! However, I did spy a LOT in Topshop, that I hadn't seen on the website yet, including this beautiful playsuit - I thought it was a dress - which I seriously want to get to wear for my birthday night out! It has the prettiest floral print on the front, and a loose covering sleeve on one side - so so pretty! I'm going to pop in store and try it on next week, then I shall report back to you all ;)

I've just baked some brownies with the girls to munch on tonight! Did it out of a packet before you all go thinking I'm a super chef haha, but I'm going to attempt to bake some from scratch soon. Our flat smells so nice and chocolatey at the moment!

Finally, I just wanted to say the biggest thank you to everyone who read and commented on yesterday's post! I honestly didn't expect such a huge response, it was just a few of my thoughts on the blogosphere right now, but I did really enjoy reading everyone's comments and opinions. A few bloggers said that they feel quality is better than quantity to them, which I guess was what I wanted to say! Got some BIG love for the girls who always comment on my posts, I never "expect" comments, but I really like being able to talk to you all on a more personal, individual level, just like I do on Twitter!

  9. T.Rose: Oh you're welcome lovely! Thank you, I'm such a sucker for polka dots, regardless of whether its 'in' or not!

    Katie: Thank you (: Aha its so difficult to take photos without a tripod though, must get round to ordering mine! xx

    Sophie: Thank you! Aaah I'm going back to try it on, which should confirm whether I actually buy it or not! Fingers crossed for a perfect fit eh?!

    Sammy: I know right! I always pop it on under sheer tops, over long sleeved basic tops... Thanks sweet :)

    Gem: YES INDEED! I've had so many people be like, "polka dots aren't 'in' next season", but I don't religiously follow the trends anyway aha. I'm aware of them because I write about them all, but polka dots shall always exist in my wardrobe. I'm not actually a fan of shop bought brownies, they taste a bit too stale for me, freshly baked it always the way!

    Hannah: Thank you! Ugh, I went in NL for a quick browse today, and it was horrendous aside from a blouse and cable knit leggings! Everyone seems to find the nicest things in their stores, but not us apparently ):

    Chic Geek: Thanks lovely! I actually kind of enjoyed cleaning my room, makes it all feel nice and organised!

  10. Versatile clothing is the best! I try to shop "economically" too. After all, how great is something if it can only be worn with specific other pieces?

    I quite enjoyed yesterday's post. I hope you write more of those types of posts in the future. No pressure, though!

  11. Alyse: Exactly! I mix and match absolutely everything I own anyway, as you can probably tell! ;) Thank you Alyse! I have a few opiniony, debate type features in mind to write about, provided I have the time and brainpower aside from Uni work to write them in. I'll probably post them fortnightly/monthly though! xxx

  24. Emma: Owh cheeyurs sweet! I shall be doing so ;) I generally need at least 5 opinions before I can purchase a birthday outfit aha! Might ask the muma and see if I can nab myself some new heels too! YES indeed Emma, got some brownies with your name all over 'em! xx

    Naomi: Thanks lovely! I own a LOT of polka dot, or similar kind of pattern aha, my muma always says it makes her head hurt! I knoww, the material is so lovely as well. LOL I'm awful at the "proper" ones, going to try and perfect my brownie baking skills before Easter though!

    Ayden: Thank you my lovely! Oh gosh I know, much as I love to hate Hollister for their obscene prices and lack of lighting in store, their clothes are so cosy and nice to wear. Thank you so much for saying that Ayden! I'm not one to start up drama or get involved too much in these things, but felt I had to air my opinions! Eee, that's okay, thank you for reading <3 I've been reading your blog for ages via Bloglovin' I think?! Must have been because I didn't realise I didn't follow you on proper Blogger and shiz! xxx

    Helen: Thanks sweet (: It's nice and baggy, making for a perfect dinner top (!!) or brownie scoffing top haha! OOH get you, lady of leisure ;) I'm intending to do that tomoz, a day of lying in bed and reading blogs, then out "on the town" with the girls! x

    Martienna: Thank you!

    Tess: Thanks sweet! Just been on your blog by the way, so lovely, a really nice read!

    Claudia: :D It is so cosy! Great for my lazy weekends! GOOD <3 I feel like I haven't spoken to you properly in ages, maybe we should email and keep in touch that way?! Love you. xx

    Sian: Thank you! I'll send some brownies over ;) I just had one and it was SO good if I must say so myself haha! Oh totally, I'm in a rut with my wardrobe but can't bring myself to shop at the moment :/ xx

    Katie: Thanks sweet! Bit of a spin on nautical I thought! xx

    Rose: Bleugh I know ): I think I need to tell everyone to redirect their dashboards to my domain URL, if that makes sense? Going to email round and see what the mechanics are around moving to a domain tomorrow! I completely agree Rose, and they never have my size: Topshop was full of 4's, 6's and 12's, just around my size(s)! Eeep you little enabler! Going to try it on on Tuesday maybe and report back ;) xxxx

    Jess: N'awh thank you Jess! Haha me too! Last weekend I just mooched about... Same goes for the one before that... Not good! I think I will try it on and see how it sits on me, but probs will end up getting it, I'm so in love with it, s'already in my Topshop basket online! You too sweet <3

  25. LOVE the polkadots :) Do you take all your pictures yourself? And I don't think the Topshop link works, at least not for me! It's probably pretty though, I wish all the Topshop clothing would just make its way into my closet! Haha.

  29. firstly, yay you're appearing in my dashboard again!
    love your top, it looks really cute. I'm definatley an economical buyer or at least i like to think i am. I go out with my 'i'm only buying things that i know i will wear more than once, and things which can be worn several ways' head on. Although sometimes i fail to stick to this :(
    xx

  31. Amaris: Thanks lovely! Yep, I take them on a multi-shot setting and on a timer, so I can take as long as I want to get my photos done. I wish I had a boyfriend with amazing photography skills haha! Oh doesn't it? It's been working fine all night aha! x

    Courtney: Thank you! I love this top, I've worn it in so many ways, and my friends never notice :p Unless they're reading this of course! Haha, pop round quick, we're getting through them so quickly!

    Natascha: Comfy outfits are my favourite! I've never quite understood "suffering for fashion" etc. to be honest! (:

    Miranda: Thank you! I wear quite simple, basic outfits, so accessories are my "thing" according to one of the best gals!

    Lizzy: Oooh am I?! This delayed posting thing is just not working. I don't like having my posts appear so late at night! Thank you (: My Mum always instilled the "What will you be able to wear this with? When will you wear it?" mantra into me while shopping aha! Good ol' parents and their never-ending knowledge base!

    Gem: Thank you doll <3 Finally had a relatively good hair day! xxx

    Girl With The Golden Touch: Thanks so much lovely (: xx
