what i wore
don't you forget about me8.1.11
Evening loves! Hope you've all had a good weekend so far? I've had quite the productive day following a good three hours laying under the duvet, half sleeping and half debating getting out of bed for an earlier start. I can't remember the last Saturday that I've spent doing anything remotely constructive while at Uni to be honest, most of the time people have gone home and I struggle to fill my weekend.
High-waisted shorts, River Island;
Chunky knit cardigan, Hollister;
Necklaces, Swarovski (on the tan cord) and Handmade by Me (compass).)
I didn't put much thought into today's outfit. I opted for comfort over anything else, because I spent a good three hours spring-cleaning my room today! Everything feels more organised now, I just need to get used to not rummaging through clutter haha. I bought this polka dot top from New Look, on a whim during a gap between lectures last summer, and it is just SO versatile. It can be layered over or under tops, tucked in, left loose and worn with leggings... Most of the pieces in my wardrobe seem to be like this though! Bit of an economical shopper? Who would've thunk it?! (I'm totally joking btw, who am I kidding...?)
Today I went into the City Centre with my flatmates Rebecca and Grace, to pick up a few essentials (ie. Lush fresh facemask, brownie mixture...!) and snoop around the shops. I literally hate shopping in January: the sales stress me out, the clothes feel too Wintery to buy for this time of the year, and they haven't yet put out the new season collections. Blah! However, I did spy a LOT in Topshop, that I hadn't seen on the website yet, including this beautiful playsuit - I thought it was a dress - which I seriously want to get to wear for my birthday night out! It has the prettiest floral print on the front, and a loose covering sleeve on one side - so so pretty! I'm going to pop in store and try it on next week, then I shall report back to you all ;)
I've just baked some brownies with the girls to munch on tonight! Did it out of a packet before you all go thinking I'm a super chef haha, but I'm going to attempt to bake some from scratch soon. Our flat smells so nice and chocolatey at the moment!
Finally, I just wanted to say the biggest thank you to everyone who read and commented on yesterday's post! I honestly didn't expect such a huge response, it was just a few of my thoughts on the blogosphere right now, but I did really enjoy reading everyone's comments and opinions. A few bloggers said that they feel quality is better than quantity to them, which I guess was what I wanted to say! Got some BIG love for the girls who always comment on my posts, I never "expect" comments, but I really like being able to talk to you all on a more personal, individual level, just like I do on Twitter!
