I'm going to be supremely annoying and add another post into the bloggosphere that starts with a discussion about the snow in the UK right now! We finally got a few inches of snow in Southampz, after being extremely jealous of everyone else... As I write this I am huddled up with Christmas candles, a hot chocolate and my duvet, while the world outside suffers in the -3 degree weather! How crazy is it that we're two days into December already?

(Dress, Coco Fashion;
Tights, H&M;
Scarf, River Island;
Rings, Topshop and Dolly Bow Bow.)

I'm wearing my new dress today, despite the freezing conditions. It arrived on Monday, and is such a lovely colour! Believe it or not, this dress is one of my Hong Kong boutique finds, and it cost me all of £4! The quality is similar to that of H&M, which is a really good, and relatively thick, and I was so determined to wear it today. There is something so gorgeous and festive about this emerald green colour, and much as I'd love to wear it with a berry coloured cardigan, I'm not too sure about attempting to balance that fine line between chic and Christmas-freak! What do you think about the red/green combination?!

Crazy as it sounds, I am also wearing my H&M cable knit tights with my dress. (Which cost more than twice the price of my dress... Tut tut...) They are incredibly warm, although I don't think they will serve me well when I eventually have to leave the flat to buy food! I'm also wearing my stag ring, in keeping with the festive, winter theme, my scrabble ring, for a geek chic touch, and I shall pop a scarf on along with my normal coat and boots when I leave!

In other news, Uni has been cancelled today, hence the reason I am sat indoors at the moment! We have had quite a few inches of snow in Southampton, so the Uni is closed until tomorrow, I think. I was supposed to give my Mags and Markets presentation this morning, but its been rescheduled now ): Ever so slightly worrying, because it is worth 100% of this semester's module grade and I'd spent ages preparing for it! I totally intend to spend my day hibernating and eating nice food... once I've been out to buy the said food ;) What are you all doing today? Do you have a snow day too?

  2. Love the outfit, when I look at it though I get shivers cause it's freezing outside and it wouldn't block the coldness out at all..lol.

    It's been snowing in London since Tuesday (last day of November). It's come pretty early this year, usually is comes in February - same times as my freinds birthday so we could never dress up! =( It just snowed again last night too.

    Since it's my day off college today, I just relaxing in my linving room with a hot choccy and some digestive biccys..Mmm.

  4. No snow day, which is unfortunate as I've got a presentation today too- would love to avoid it!
    Can't believe that dress was only £4 - suuuch a bargain :) I think if you keep the colours rich and deep then red and green can look fiiine together - berry red and dark emerald green rather than anything brighter methinks!

  16. Your dress looks lovely, what a bargain. I say go with the berry cardigan ;-) I love christmasy outfits, I'm determined to find a nice christmas jumper with a reindeer on it.
    The snow here was pretty terrible yesterday, it was so thick but fluffy and not icy (the best way!) but today it's melting. Kind of happy, the snow ruins my shoes :-( Made a snow man yet?

  32. Does your entire closet come from Topshop? It really seems like it. I wish there was a Topshop where I live! Why is it that the best stores are in the UK? ggrrr

    Also, we've had ZERO snow in my part of the States. BOOOOOOO
